How can I get respect back from my guy friend?
I recently told my guy friend that I was having some serious feelings for him and how I felt bad about it since he already has a gf. He thanked me for liking him, but I get the sense he enjoyed the fact that I liked him. He keeps making fun of me for it, which I don't appreciate. For example, he told a friend of his I liked him and they made a sexual joke about it and yesterday, he was teasing with another friend of his, who is female, and then he looked at me to see if I was jealous or somthing. Overall, he is a nice guy, but I just don't like he's teasing me about it. What should I do?

My wife got upset at me yesterday afternoon and I told her she needed to calm down but instead she slapped me in the face. I told her that she is never ever to slap a man and that she was to go to her room for 4 hours. I grabbed her hand and led her into the room and to the bed. I told her I want you to think about why what you did was wrong and why you should not do it and after 4 hours I will open the door and you can come out. Well, she opened the door and came out in the hallway and I asked what she was doing and she said "going to the bathroom" and I told her "no you aren't, get back in that room". Well she did and I closed the door again and she was just pouting saying I had no right to do this to her yada, yada, yada. I feel as head of the house I need to enforce the rules. Was I wrong here?

I want a Rolex, it is not really expensive (less than 10,000). Friends are telling me Rolex is overrated. I think you can say that only when you can afford one. I am not buying it to show off, it should be only watch I ever need. friend always told me what a great car i have because he have a used kia. if you think watch doesn't need to be that expensive why does he think my lexus is better than his kia? he even brrowed my car for his date. I am not very rich, but I work hard and I just want the best quality if i am going to spend money anyway. what's so wrong about it? how do I deal with jealousy from friends and coworkers.

So, I have had an extreme amount of feelings for a friend of mine for about 6 years. I was dating his best friend for that amount of time and was scared to get out of the relationship for security issues. He was abusive to me mentally and pushed me around when he was drunk. Also, he used to drink heavily and hurt a lot of people around him.

Now, I have broke things off completely with him. He wants me back and cries to me. I will not take him back. I went down to visit the friend i talked about earlier, this weekend. We had been drinking a lot and I asked him if he wanted me to sleep in his bed or on the couch and he said he couldnt do that to his friend (my ex). His roommate told me that this kid does have feelings for me and that it is obvious there is a lot of tension between us. Should I just forget about this whole thing because he said he couldnt do that to my ex or what?!

I know how I feel...but I wanted your opinion/views on the pros & cons of dating guys who are 10-12 years younger?
I am 36...will be 37 in Jan...he is 24...will be 25 this month...
in the recent past I dated someone 10 yrs younger....36 to 26...
These guys told me that they don't care about the age difference...they like older women...
People (guys) tell me all the time that I look between 25-30 yrs old

more; shes 36 im 41, she moved thousands of miles away. we both have failed marriages and children from those. I told her I would love to marry her just not now.


2 questions

1. after a year she is calling me now and wanting to get back together. why did she leave in the first place? to see if the grass is greener somewhere else? To test me?

2. I havent really talked to her for 4 months unless she calls me. I have been dating and love women. I do love my ex but dont really want to get back into the tugg of war we had. She has lost some weight (which I dont care about that) and gotten some of her stuff together (maturity) but has also piled on the bills.

My heart says get back together and be a better boyfriend, and maybe ask her to marry (only religous not state marriage.)

My gut says maybe retry with caution.

My brain says move on.

My friends say only time will tell and move on, but these friends never have LTR so I dont think they know what there talking about

I have a student staying - very pleasant and nice. However..... he does seem to eat an awful lot and I was wondering if people have had any similar experiences and what they have done about it. Also he goes out and asks me to leave some dinner on the side for him. Is this reasonable? Should I say dinner is served at 7 and if he is not here there is no dinner?

I got advice on how to behave yesterday. My boyfriend and I speak alot over the phone and we became very close but never met in person. I am from California by the way but my boyfriend's parents are planning to put us in two different rooms upon my visit. Is this normal? Here in California my boyfriend and I don't even share an apartment but don't you think they are being extreme? I have a lot of respect for them and everything. Like I said my previous question his mom and I are very close and she even sends me cards and gifts. We visited my parents in San Jose a few times and we were not seperated, my parents respected that we were grown.
