why is your kid or kids in foster care in the first place? If you did something to deserve them being taken from you then you have to go to court and prove that your a capable parent now. If they were taken from you for no reason you have to go to court and prove there was no reason.

Having gone through this, when a child is in foster care it can be a very sensitive situation. It's not my business as to why the child is there. You know the reasons & that's enough. First, they will not release the child to you again until they can be certain the child is not "at risk" in their view. You will want to cooperate with them. Take parenting classes, go to any counseling they want you to. Keep a stable job. Keep the home as clean as possible. Make sure the home is child safe. Have reliable transportation.
I'd also look into getting an attorney. If you are limited on funds, see if the local legal services can assist you.
By cooperation & hard work, you can at least do your best to show them you're capable of caring for the child.
Good luck to you

I just answered your previous question. I would suggest doing everything that is asked...don't skip AA, NA (or whatever meetings, appointments that are court ordered) for any reason. If you go to court and it's not mentioned again nor has any of it changed, don't assume you don't have to go anymore. If you are unsure of anything, make sure you ask the judge / case worker / CASA anything. They are there to help you and if you are still getting visits, then keep it up because reunification is STILL the goal. Don't give up! Never give up! If you truly want your child back, then there is still hope! Good luck to you! I wish you the best!
