I wouldn't recommend Siren — it makes most people think of emergency vehicles. Sira is a little better, but I wouldn't give that name to my daughter. (If I were having one, of course, which I'm NOT.) One of my favourite names for a girl is Laurel. Don't ask me why, I just like it.

Well, unless you're Greek or you expect the kid to be loud,not Siren. Sira is nice, but how about Sari?

Isn't Siren from the Odyssey? It's a pretty name if you don't look at where it came from.
But I really like Siren. It sounds mystical and haunting but at the same time beautiful.

No, its not a pleasant name, its an object like a police siren. Sorry my opinion.
