No, farts come from the food in your intestines breaking down......fetuses get thier food (and oxygen) directly from the mother's blood supply, so the intestines aren't being used as a normal person's would, although they do have bowel movements in the last trimester. They aren't using the lungs to breathe, and are completely immersed in amniotic fluid, so that would prevent them from smelling anything, if they even could.

If you eat alot of pintos. I don't think they can smell in there because their lungs have not developed yet.
