so this guy and i have liked eachother for... i dont know how long and we go ot different schools and we agreed that if we hangout a couple times and get to know eachother better then we can talk about having a relationship. well we hung out this weekend. we went to his friends house for a party and i didnt know anyone there. and i thought we were having a good time and we were flirting non stop then i was talking to him sunday night and he told me that he doesnt think im the girl he wants to go out with. he said it was because he hates having to explain everything to me and he said that when we were at his friends house he was trying to get a feel for my personality and that he doesnt feel like im someone that he can relate to, then he had the nerve to ask if we could still be friends, i was balling my eyes out but i did a good job at covering it up and acted like i was fine with everything. what should i do!?!i honestly thought he was different, he respects me and thats hard to find!

I have known my 14-yr-old stepdaughter for only eight months. Her dad and I have been married for four months. She lives with her mom full-time. There are also three stepsons who live with us 50% of the time. I have a wonderful relationship with them! They are 11, 7 & 6. My stepdaughter has had a bad relationship with her dad since he split with his ex (who had had an affair, and wasn't interested in reconciling). She poisoned the daughter against him. He has tried and tried to have a relationship with her, but it is like a rollercoaster...off and on like a light switch. Now her reason for not seeing him is ME! She told him that she doesn't respect me, and that she probably never will. He told her that he's sorry she feels that way, but that I am his wife, I have never mistreated her, and have loved her just like I do the boys. We invite her over, to go on outings, etc., but she won't come because of my daughters and I...who have only treated her with respect...even though she always acts like she is mad at us. At one time she and I were friendly, and she and my daughters even called each other sisters (they are 12 & 14, by the way), but her mother ruined that too. Should I even try? Even my husband wants to give up. I know he can’t and shouldn’t, but should I try to contact her at all? She and I used to e-mail all the time, but she stopped responding to me. Is there anything I can do? Is there anything he can do? We don’t want to “lose” her.

MY BROTHER HAS JUST TOLD MY PARENTS HE IS GAY AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME AND MY THREE SISTERS AND ONE OTHER BROTHER,BUT MY GAY BROTHER HAS TOLD MY PARENTS HE DOESN'T WANT US TO KNOW,WE ALL ACCEPT IT AND WANT HIM TO KNOW WE ACCEPT IT BUT THIS WOULD CAUSE PROBLEMS WITHIN THE FAMILY,
WE APPRECIATE HOW HARD IT MUST HAVE BEEN FOR HIM TO ADMIT TO BEING GAY AS THE REST OF US ARE ALL MARRIED WITH KIDS,WE JUST WANT HIM TO KNOW WE ARE OK WITH IT AND WE LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT.

If you are in a relationship, that you have to work at. Not that you don't get along, but there is a lot of conflict and heated discussions. Do you think that this is where the fire and the passion stem from? or is all about chemisty and compatabilty?

My husband and I have been married for 8 years now. We have both decided that it was best if we seperate. Now what? I feel empty and confused. I have been with him since I was 15. How do we go on and still be friends for the kids sake? Nothing bad happened between us, nobody cheated or anything like that. It just feels like everything has changed between us like the love isn't the same as it always was. We never wanted to hurt eachother...but why do I feel so bad? Please help...any advice will be great.

I think it's fair to say that most guys don't fit into this kind of personality and even feel that being "bad" is not going to please women.......

So why do some women go for the "bad boy"?

I've dated him before and to be honest he's treated me a lot better than most of my exs. He has immaturity problems, and by that I mean he acts like a child sometimes, not during times it matters, but sometimes it gets annoying. Would you deal with that for love? Should I deal with it?

My best friend is dating this guy ("Jerry" )but is still in love with another one still ("tom") and When I first met Jerry I automatically liked him and he recently told me that it was the same for him and before he told me this his best friend (Al) told him he liked me and has actually made moves on me. Me and Jerry have talked and we have decided that we want to be with each other but the fact of loosing two friends makes it tough. my friend has told me on more then one occasion that she would rather be with tom then jerry and at a party recently jerry had to work and tom was there and she was all over tom like they were together. is this wrong? and or how can we make this work without loosing two good friends?

Sometimes in a relationship there is a subject that can be trivial, and that is "guy friends." Now this is a very touchy subject, and my thought on this is that there is no such thing as a guy friend. My reason is that if your girlfriend has "guy friends" you don't know, it makes you uneasy and possibly jealous, and we know you ladies don't like that. Anyway, my deal is that guys will of course be friends with girls in relationships because they hope that they might catch them on the rebound or if the two get into an argument, and the girl then goes to the "guy friend" to talk to, of course the guy is going to say, this guy isn't good for you, you deserve better, thus making him look better than her boyfriend. My question is, (finally) what is your take on this?
