im going to high school soon and need to know how to make friends

Join clubs and things. That way you're with groups of people in controlled settings, and you have a built-in topic of conversation. You'll also get to know people from outside your main circle of friends because different people will be in different clubs.

Find the clubs with your common interests. it's really very easy, I found my niche and a great group of buddies in JROTC, now I'm happily enlisted in the military, there's a club for almost anything in high school, jsut find it and go alng, there's nice people every where, GOOD LUCK! I am what they call a floater, I never stay in one group, I hang out with library ppl, band( mainly drumline) and ROTC many people know me, plus I am the onlt on at this schoool with a red and black letter jacket from my old school. I've been to four different high schools. I graduate this january, I made friends every where, just heed my warning, don't spoil it. Have fun, be humble.. HOOAH! bad high school times is not the one you want

just speak 2 people. like say hi or what's up!
or make small talk. For instance, u r standing n a long lunch line. Say to the person beside you "i'm so hungry,i wish the line would move faster" and i'm sure they will respond....
before u know it,you'll have lots of buddies.....

You're already a butterfly... you're unique just being who & what you already are.
Just make sure you get involved in social circles that you'll enjoy & be comfortable in... then spread your wings & fly! (be the best YOU that you can be).

try not to care then they will soon come to you instead of you being a geek and going to them that is what i do.
