My older child has been defined as a "kinetic" learner. I've read up on the different learning styles so I already know what it means, but I'd like some advice from professionals as well as parents as to how to guide her through the process (specifically) of learning how to study. She is in primary school. Thanks in advance!

I am supposed to be being trained as a TEFL teacher, however I am a bit suprised with the following exercise. I feel it is not explained in a way that is actually teaching me. I am sure that being trained it should be explained with a few examples on how I detect the answers. It is more like a test than helping me to find the solutions. Can anyone assist me here, I do know what the correct answers are, but the method in detecting the 3 answers for the 3 questions they ask I think dont bare a relevance in teaching me to find what I need. Hope this does'nt sound stupid.

I am given the following sentences below and asked the 3 following questions.

1. What caused the error
2. What type of error is it
3. How would you correct it

I walk-id to school today
What do you eat for dinner yesterday
People is very friendly

That is how it is presented to me to solve, it as baffled 2 English teachers already, who told me it should be explained more clear to me.

Why are we blamed for forgetting things when we have tried our best to remember?

It is no good assuming that people have not tried to remember because you cannot prove that, and everyone has a right to fair trail and so we have to prove it.

Have you ever had your teacher moan because you forgot to get your PE kit?
You tried to remember, but saying this to the teacher just doesn't cut it.

Tell me how a teacher can be right dispite this? and why.

This is something that I have been trying to figure out for ages. I really need an honest answer. Is it because they want to take out thier frustration on the kids or something else?

I would like a very indepth and conscise or scientific answer.

Hey all. I need some help. I want to teach someone who is 19 years of age (basically an adult) how to write. They passed high school and everything(barely), but they can't seem to write even 1 sentence without it having at least 2 errors. I can't be with them at the moment because they are in another state and at a different college than I am, but I really want to help them... Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to teach them or what advice I can give them? They are really struggling and even after I correct their mistakes, they will make them over and over again.

Even the word "example" they spell incorrectly...

So, I need some advice on what to do. Thanks.

So...what i do everyday is the same exact thing...i walk into the classroom and there is a bin where she leaves me copies to do. I go make copies and come back. For awhile now I've been counting how many copies she makes me do and keeping track of everything. One day...she made me copy 272 pages of papers. It took me about a half hour to do it all. THIS ISN'T WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR NOR WHAT I WANT TO BE DOING!! After i make copies i go back to the classroom and for the rest of the time being I sit down individually with each student and do paper corrections with them. I asked the teacher if i could have an answer sheet and she asked me if i had problems doing 2nd grade math. I responded "NO" but You get angry at me because i am teaching them the way i learned to do things in elementary school and i know things have changed. She told me she doesn't trust me and also made a comment about how...i should "really think about being a teacher" It got me so upset it brought me to tears.

So i walked into the classroom for the first time back in September and right away the teacher told me that this program would be more to help her then help me. It got me a bit upset and i was a bit "concerned" Well, EVERYDAY has been the same. First let me start with this....you have an option to arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 (12:30 is the earliest you can arrive to the elementary school) and 1:00 is the latest you can arrive but no matter what time you arrive you must put in 2 hours. Any who... I wanted to come around 12:30 but that is my teacher//the elementary school teacher's lunch time she yells at me if i come that early and she tells me to come not on her lunch and at 1:00. That means i don't leave until 3:00 and i have work at 4:00. I tried to explain that to her and she told me ....well this is my lunch...so you need to come at that time. I agreed finally. (Please keep reading I apologize that this is so long I'm literally sitting here CRYING RIGHT NOW.....(part 3)

Hey everyone! My name is Jess and I am a senior in high school. This story is a bit long...but i promise i will get to the point as to why I am VERY UPSET. This year i was 1 of 100 students who were selected from my school to get the chance to leave school early and teach at an elementary school. It's a 2 hour class and i thought i was going to love it....well...i thought WRONG. When I arrived at the school they told me i would be teaching second graders....what i first found "amusing" was the classroom already had 2 teachers in there...i thought to myself "why do they need me." Well i was told that this program would help me because i wanted to go into elementary education. They told me i would help the teacher need be. They said i would help teach the class possibly help create lesson plans and work with the students. They said you would also be correcting papers for the kids and pretty much learning what it is like to be a teacher. (PLEASE READ PART II PLEASE!! I'M IN TEARS)

If they are both close to same age, both single and seem to have an intellectual and conversational connection, how should one go about the situation with discretion? When and how should it be approached so that it doesn't jeopardize the student's standing in class? Any thoughts would be appreciated, especially from teachers or former teachers themselves.

Basically anything but volunteering at a school as a teaching assistant.

I need to know specific places that i can work at.

Any teachers out there?? Any people applying to teachers college in the near future?? What did you do/are doing?

I live in Ontario, Canada btw.

I have a BBA, MPA and am a PhD candidate in Education. I have tried everything to get a teaching positionand have had no luck. The problem is that I have no previous experience. I don't know what to do anymore and am about to give up the quest. I love being around children. I have two of my own and 23 nephew and nieces. I was raised in a low-income neighborhood and was lucky to have been raised in a great family and guided the right way. Many youth do not have this opportunity and I would like to teach but mentor as well. I am not trying to change the world but sometimes you can shift some of the interim affects the take place within society. If you have a connection or know how I can get an opportunity please help me. All I want is a chance, I will do the rest.

here are two stories:

1.) last week in spanish class a kid farted, so naturally the whole class burst out laughing. the teacher, for some odd reason, only punishes two students, one of which is me.

2.) today in spanish class, this kid started acting like a retard, and a few kids laughed (i was one.) she gave him a detention, which is understandable, then turns around and gives me one because i was "looking at him and laughing." no one else got one besides the funny kid and me.

would you give a student a detention in these situations? explain. i go to school in the US and my teacher lived in Croatia (sp?) for the majority of her life, if this helps at all. i am in junior high.

Thank You
