Sorry, lame but illustrating a point that many ask questions without thinking first.
teachers are taught to enable learning, do you think YA could make a generation of people even more dumb by just giving out the answers?

I know I have to bring a resume and my teaching certification, but do you also have to bring a proof of your grades or classes taken. Do they want to know what your GPA was or what classes you did well in and what classes you did poorly in. I have a 3.0, but I failed a science class and I don't want to not get job for that reason.

I teach a medical terminology class to adults at a local community college.

I was looking for some fresh ideas for this upcoming semester.

Anyone out there have any suggestions for some activities to do with the students.

I teach a body system lecture and go over the medical terms associated with that body system each class time.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

okay in my one class we were supposed to go present on a tuesday .. but the day before someone didn't go so they went on the day we were going to go so we got pushed to thursday because we were dissecting a frog on wednesday. on thursday she had the scheduled groups go... so she told us that we were going to go Friday. And on Friday she had the original group go before us which they took the whole 90 minutes. So we couldn't go then either so she told us the most we could get is a 50% which is 75/150 ? Can she do that ?

I'm a creative writing teacher going back to work after a year off with my baby, and I'd love to hear some really wonderful ideas. What made those assignments so meaningful?

My students are juniors and seniors. The class is an elective, so assume they want to be there. I have a lot of ideas myself, but I've been thinking about them for a long time and I'd like to have some fresh material. Thanks! :)

Please, I would like serious answers only ... I would like to know what people think is wrong or right about American education.. I would love it if some people from abroad would answer, citing their systems.... so often we do not get a broad enough viewpoint..... Thank you in advance

I'd like to know the minor or sub-skills of reading in English that can be developed for college students who study English as a foreign langauge.

I would like to become fluent in Spanish somewhere down the road, but my main priority for right now is to learn enough Spanish to be able to communicate with my students' mono-lingual parents. Are there any good books/tapes/cd-roms/dvds/etc. that would provide kind of a quick fix? I can read Spanish pretty well, but cannot speak, write or understand spoken Spanish very well.

Ok, maybe they learn about the information they are writing, but you can read a book and do that. What are they REALLY learning by writing all those reports. This is not a sarcastic or mean-spirited question--I need the information for research I am doing. I would like answers from educators please, if you are out there.
