You will need a bachelor's degree in business or distributive education. Then you will need a master's degree in education. I know that Buffalo State and Albany State still have a business program. Some private schools also have it, too.
Your other credits should transfer, at the least, as electives. Keep in mind that business courses in high school have changed a lot. With all of the new requirements in NY for graduation, students don't have much time in their schedules to pick up electives. And many seniors opt to pick up college courses instead. So I have found many of my students are younger, usually sophomores or juniors.
A great website for information for business teachers is the Business Teachers Assoc of NYS--www.btawny.org
