To me, that's the best reason of all. If she refuses to accept your answer, go to your counselor and tell him or her that the teacher is refusing to sign off to allow you to transfer to the class of your choice. Since it is an elective, the counselor can supercede her decision, as long as you are going into another class and not just a study hall.

If need be, get a parent involved.

I personally liked choir myself, but that's a class you should not be forced to be in if you don't like it. Hence elective.

In my humble point of view, I think that there are more convincing good reasons that might be ok. For example, you can tell your teacher that you are not psychologically in harmony with the group. Or you can tell him/her that this class does not meet your expectations and that you look forward for better conditions. Also, you can say that the time of the class is not appropriate to your personal life conditions. I think that you can think deeply and find the right excuse that will convince your teacher. Good luck

Get another schedule that does not coincide with that class, that is enough valid reason, If it is too late, then you can take the class, who knows, you might end up being the vocalist.

Just tell her you are going crazy in her class and she is driving you to do drugs because she is such a lousy teacher and an even worse person. You will be gone before the hour is out.

tell the counselor that it is just not working for you and in order to avoid a poor grade that would lower your grade point, you respectfully request a transfer and be ready to tell what you would add

just tell her you are so attracted to her, it makes it hard to focus in class. If you are a girl, this will work even better.
