I am looking into teaching for a future career after i graduate high school. (I am currently a senior.) I was just wondering how much money you make and what are some of your favorite perks as teachers besides summers off and the vacation time. Please tell me your salary, years experience, favorite perks and what state you teach in. Thanx!

my daughter's 3rd grade teacher is a veteran teacher at a well respected school and top district in south carolina. she is extremely moody,belittles and singles out the kids even going so far as to claim to be allergic to one of the students. now my daughter is having severe emotional and physical stress symptoms associated with school. she is an honor student and has always excelled. this is the first horrible teacher we have ever had. the problem is becuase she is a veteran teacher, people seem to dismiss her actions and make excuses. this teacher seems overwhelmed,burnt out and is taking it out on the kids. i am not alone in my experience and there are other parents having trouble with her. i don't feel she is open to any constructive critisism or willing to change. i have also heard she can become ugly and resentful to students whose parents raise issues with her. please help if you have experienced this and know how to get results.

I have a friend in Puerto Rico who has a B.A in Physical Education. The only problem is his English is very limited. However, I'm sure there must be some Spanish immersion schools or two way immersion schools that would be more interested in his ablility to speak Spanish

We have taught 3 main subjects from Linguistics course. These are:
1- Morphology (morph,allomorph,phonologically conditioned,..)

2- Grammar (what is grammar, traditional/generative grammar, prescriptive/descriptive approaches, structural analysis, )

3- Syntax (structural ambiguity, deep/surface structure, structural ambiguity, diagrams...)

My question is that there are a lot of points and subjects which I should comprehend and make inferences from. but I cannot be sure whether I am ready for this final exam or not. Should memorize, or just read and make do with one remained in mind? Are definitions are important?
Please help me clarify my mind with possible questions.

i'm doing a high-school essay where we examine articles of our choice. many of my classmates are supporting their essays with fabricated quotes that "supposedly" came from their articles; they think that the teacher won't take the time to look up all their quotes and see if they are actually in their articles. Everyone gets to choose their own articles to refer from. Will the teacher still check?

Is it stupid for a spanish teacher to spend an entire one hour and thirty minute class on the computer while her class of mostly failing students sit at their desks with nothing to do?

for and art teacher to let kids in special ed give out their phone numbers and adresses to normal ed kids?

for an art teacher to let kids cut cardboard with razorblades, only until someone's hand has a massive gash?

for an English teacher to act OG (original gangsta) and wear a Jimmy Hindrix pin on his ID card?

for some teacher I've never met to cuss out all the students

I'm not saying I disslike my teachers, or even that they are stupid, but don't you agree that they can be rather ridiculous sometimes?
