Unfortunately it's a lot of work to reach the level of "expert." If you are looking at it purely from a gambling perspective, you would focus mostly on statistics, odds, probability... that sort of stuff. I was a terrible student in high school ( graduated with a low C average), and an even worse college student because no one was forcing me to go. I had a 2.79 GPA at one point. Now I have a 3.6. Learning anything is self motivated. If you can dig in to a text book slowly and ask questions on here, you might be able to do OK. If you have a local community college, that might be your best route.

Well, good grammer is a place to start, but I would say practice and studying diligently. The more you learn, the closer you will be to geniushood. Or, become a very good actor, my friends think I am a genius when I am barely pulling a C out of the class. I guess it's good to turn in homework! ^_^

Being a strict believer in learning what you are not good at. I was not a firm believer in what I knew and I was horrible in math and became a Credit Union Supervisor and was very successful in that and now I am good and gravy in math!!!
