When you know what point or question someone is getting across are you worried about the spelling? If you don't like it just don't waste your time and go on about your stupid self. There is no grading on here is it or you can't go to jail can you for misspelling. If you have a smart *** answer to this don't waste your time go look your dumb self in the mirror and ask yourself if you are perfect at everything.

I've thought about becoming a teacher, but I'm worried that my shyness will make it too uncomfortable. I'm wondering how many shy teachers are out there, if it makes a difference what ages you teach, and how you try to overcome your shyness.

I am an Education major and I am trying to build up my library. I realized that about 80% of my books are fantasy, so I'm trying to find some good books in different genres. I'm looking for books that have some diversity. The books can be funny, silly, or touch on sensitive issues.

I am not worried about the age groups, I figure if I have a bunch of books for different grade levels then it won't matter because I'll have my own kids too! :)

Thanks!

I was asked this question at a recent job interview. I had a horrible student teaching experience, so when I was asked, I said that lack of teaching support was the hardest part. I explained how much harder it was for me to do everything alone without other student teacher support. I had fourth grade alone, but others on my team were in the same grades and got to work on lessons and ideas together). Anyway, I was just curious if I should've said something different, like classroom management? Any ideas? Any suggestions?

I have decided to begin teaching myself. (I'm in 7th grade.) The things I want to teach myself are English, Math, History, Geography, and Latin. What are some good websites that I can go to to get some "notes" or "lesson plans" for these subjects? I already have Latin.

I DO go to school, but since I moved to Virginia their curriculum is WAY TOO EASY. So during class, I am going to work on MY lessons. And don't say, "Well then you will fail." I won't. Everything they are learning for the first time now I have learned in 5th grade.

I teach at a community college and would like to be able to use actual models of prisms, cones, pyramids, etc... in showing students how the formulas for volumes are derived. I've made my own for years, but they always look pretty ragged. I'd like to purchase models, but I can't seem to find any - HELP! Thanks!

I am giving out awards to my 9th grade Biology students next week at a school wide awards presentation. I am trying to think of some different awards. I am already giving out "Most Improved" and "Outstanding Academic Achievement". I was also thinking "Most Enthusiastic".

Can you think of some other awards I could give students that are not just highest grades type thing.

I don't want anything silly. I don't want anything elementary school like. It's a serious awards thing with parents and everything there.

Thanks for your help!

Lately you have seen a growing move for privatizing education. This trend has come about because the public schools are not getting the job done in relation to American youth. Do you think that public schools should be improved or move to a private system?
