For me what worked was reviewing my notes from every class, the same day i had the class. That way i didn't have as much to memorize for final exam.
Don't cram, if at all possible. If you do cram, take a break every hr (for about 10-15 mins) from studying. It actually helps u focus more. Dont pull an all-nighter. Make sure u get at least 8 hrs sleep the day of exam
If your house poses too many distraction, go to a University Library. They're usually open almost all night or find a spot on campus with couch and table and get to it. Some ppl also go to Tim Hortoms, Second Cup, Starbucks etc to study....it has a more relaxing atmosphere

Best way to prepare for any school exam is to take good notes on the lectures, read the assigned reading on a consistent basis, taking more notes on this. Spend two hours outside the classroom for every hour you spend inside the classroom, revisiting your notes, reading, and applying what you are learning to everyday to make it a more personal learning experience. This practice will make school exams less threatening because you will be more prepared to get a successful grade on the exam.

everyone says study study study, but you should do whatever is the best way for YOU to retain your material even if it is to pay for a tutor or see if your teacher has some extratime to review with you and see where you need to practice more in.
