When you know what point or question someone is getting across are you worried about the spelling? If you don't like it just don't waste your time and go on about your stupid self. There is no grading on here is it or you can't go to jail can you for misspelling. If you have a smart *** answer to this don't waste your time go look your dumb self in the mirror and ask yourself if you are perfect at everything.

But these sights are for learning and asking questions why not be positve to the peopleand show them where they messed up instead of being negative to them. Also some are for fun not for a job. If your company done that then that showed how stupid they were because some people have learning disabilities.

One thing you have to remember that this section is about teaching - it is a reasonable expectation that the people asking questions are teachers. While poor spelling may be tolerated among many other groups of people, teachers who cannot spell are usually frowned upon. You will probably find that there are relatively fewer comments on spelling or grammar in sections such as Homework Help or Travel.

On this site you are presenting yourself to thousands of readers. Spelling poorly tells people that you are either stupid, ignorant or careless. Why bother to pretend to care about learning if you can't even bother to spell correctly?

And, for younger writers, it is important that you understand that you will be disrespected if you don't use proper English. One top company that I consulted for had a bulletin board in their office where they posted letters and notes they had received from clients in which there were spelling and grammar mistakes. They wrote wiseguy comments on the notes making fun of the clients.

In the grown-up world of business and academics, being able to do things right counts for a lot.

One possibility is that this is the section on teaching.

As kindly as I can point out, when you are referring to a web page it is "site" not "sight".
