I don't see a problem with keeping in contact... but the others are probably just overly concerned because of all of these teachers lately having affairs with their students. The few bad teachers can ruin it for the good ones with pure intentions.

No, this is fine (so far). You have not behaved inappropriately, just to have had contact with a former student. The rest of the staff may have concerns because they do not know the nature of your relationship, and there are a lot of stories that ended badly when a teacher maintained contact with a student outside of the classroom. However, legally, they have no recourse because you have done nothing wrong -- they can complain all they want, but you haven't committed a crime or violated any rules. Obviously, you can't really let it go much further than email correspondence, unless your former student is over the age of 18, in which case what you do with them is your personal life and none of your co-workers' business.

There are a minimum of 40 or 50 of them. between the main eye-catching is the Gospel of the Holy young human beings, and that i think the instructor would have been speaking approximately it - I clearly wish not "coaching" it. there are diverse memories approximately Joseph and Mary having to circulate lots simply by fact the boy Jesus stored killing his playmates. Jesus and his pals made a dam with the aid of a sprint stream; some larger boys got here alongside and broke it down, as larger goys will do. So Jesus pointed his finger and killed him. corresponding to the early SUperboy comics, this is somebody wrestling with the priority of how a baby is composed of understand and take care of limitless power. There should not be a problem with it. I have a few teachers that I keep in touch with via E-Mail. They have since retired. They were teachers that I had 15 years ago.

They are probably thinking about the lady teachers going to jail (several in florida & georgia) for inappropriate activity.
They are just being cautious in trying to prevent issues.
Until the pedophile issues are cleared up this will be an ongoing dilema.

It was your school email address right? If so, no problem.

If not, it was a minor mistake you should fix in the future. 20 years ago no one would question your decision, but times have changed unfortunately.
