I'm interested in becoming a Mandarin Chinese teacher, and I'd be interested in hearing about your experience. Do you recommend it or not?

I absolutely LOVE teaching foreign language. I teach Spanish and French and the students that take your course are there because they want to be, not because they are required to take it.
I really enjoy my job and my students. They walk in knowing very little about Spanish or French and walk out being able to communicate. They are usually so eager and there are so many ways to make it interesting and exciting.

It is worth it. I have had very few discipline problems that require intervention from an administrator. The kids are good and happy to be there.
