I wish I truly knew the answer to this because I am the most forgetful person I know and I know it peeves my family off alot. They are constantly having to remind of things. My husband says it annoys him because he cant depend on me. I tell him its not my fault and he knows this but he says understand it from his perspective, when I forget something it means two things; either he has to do it or its to late to do it. So maybe it's that some people feel dissappointed because they can't depend on you if you forget things. But from this perspective, we hate to forget things and it truly is frustrating. People do not understand what it is truly like to be so forgetful. It is actually emotionally hard to deal with. You start to feel guilty about it and sometimes lie not to have to bear telling someone you forgot again. To the person who said we just don't care enough about things to remember them that is not always true, sometimes it is just that we cant. It is like our brain just picks and chooses what to remember. I often freak my husband out when I can recall something so obscure yet I cant remember something that seems so easy and just happened two seconds ago. Its like having a fragmented hard drive and the files are all over the place, they are there just not accessible at certain moment, thus the scientific answer is in the brain itself and how it stores information I guess.

your being used~the system to give u a guilt trip~the buttons >they< push to get the most out of you~big brother~through the education system is designed to have you tripped up so they can gleen the feed back information, not all people respond to this manipulation-well, some people detect it, some detest it, and most are clueless to the way the system works, the younger the people are the easier it works but as you get older the challenge of privicys are very accurate and stigmatizing are tricks of the trade the parents use it the teachers use it and the boys spot it early and the girls use it as court house revenge when it comes to divorce time, but it is only called forgetting when you are young but it is a full blown head game to the people who use this to play "push your buttons" sick people in the government started this when the achievements of war crimes were established after WW l l with the information from the prisoners and how to handle them was used here coerce the way government way going to screw the people over to get the civilization to form lock~step~methodology, your self incrimination's of forgetting is not what you call forgetting~it is big brother system and has been a ploy for educators since it was brought back as a police and war tool to be used on the civilian population~try to understand that as a lab rat i have no where to go with this information because they collect it right here too~credo

First of all, you forgot the definition of concise. In depth and concise are antonyms of one another.
Your teacher wants to impress upon you the importance of preparedness. You cannot show up to PE class without your PE kit. I mean, if you are going to PE class, wouldn't that mean that you need the materials for the class? That is only logical. If you are leaving your house, you should make a checklist of what you need to take with you. If you know that you are forgetful, then you should take steps to help yourself remember important things.
I was forgetful, too, until I started to write a list of important activities in my planner.
If you continue with this forgetfulness it could eventually cost you money, a job, even friendships. It takes effort to remember things, and we all forget sometimes. But planning and organization help in a big way. Good luck!

Most of the time when someone forgets something, it's because they didn't care enough in the first place. When something is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT, you usually don't forget it. Like turning off the stove. Now, there are some cases where you really cared and tried to remember, but didn't, but the reason people make it your fault is because most of the time people forget cause they don't care enough. So go easy on those people blaming you.

Forgetting is no good, if i forgot to lock the door and a robber walked in and grabbed my stereo. I'm an idiot. Who cares what people think, forgetting something that will have an adverse effect on future or past events is bad, whether you want to remember it or not. Will you be forgiven, maybe. Will it be forgotten over time, maybe. Some things will never be forgotten and will live on in memory and other mediums of communication...What it comes down to is...DONT FORGET!!!!! p.s. easier said than done...

Unless you are suffering from a mental disorder, memory and forgetting is relative to the importance of the matter in your eyes.
If forgetting was socially acceptable it would be a valid defence for just about every transgression. "I forgot that I put bullets in the gun", 'I forgot that it was wrong to rob a bank", I forgot to feed the baby for a week or so"....get the picture?
Forgetfulness is directly related to laziness and apathy. Think how you would feel if friends and family "forgot" your birthday or "forgot" to get you a little something for Christmas.....you might think that they didn't care. Or how about this......You're supposed to meet someone special for a date......and their reason for not showing up? - They forgot.
When you "forget" to do something that you're supposed to do in school, your teacher's reaction is no different.
Try using the "I forgot" excuse once you start working.....I bet it wouldn't take your boss long to find a replacement with a better memory.
