You know, a series of still images with audio commentary. I suppose the modern equivalent would be a PowerPoint presentation. But do schools use them? Or something else? Is it all on video now?

Two weeks ago my brother’s teacher mrs. Armstrong told the students to not tell someone to shut up because that is informing that there mouth is stink and to tell someone who is talking too much to be quiet or cut down on the talking. So they had a boy who was speaking too much. Our teacher ms. Armstrong told him to shut up and the boy asked if she told him that to keep quiet or his breath was stink and she replied to him in front of the class that both applied in that case. Is my brother’s teacher being funny or mean?

In my brothers class there was a boy making trouble and our math teacher mrs. armstrong told him he better pay attention and listen to pull up his bad grades. Another boy poked and laughed at him and our teacher mrs. armstrong told him to shut up and stop talking because he is also flunking the course. Is these two insults by my brother's teacher to the two students a funny?

Ugh, my calculus teacher always give us pop quizzes! We never know when we're gonna have a quiz! We just walk in to class, and he says, oh, you have a quiz. And I'm like what?! But I didn't study! Then I end up failing the quiz because I didn't remember what we learned. So why should teachers be allowed to do this?

Okay, I go to a middle school, and I'm really confused. All over the middle school is fights, people saying they lost their virginity, and smoking pot. In fact like 20 minutes ago, when I was on the bus, some kid was smoking in the back of the school bus. The smell was gross and a bunch of the girls were playing with lighters and writing with sharpie on the bus covers. My friend and I were disturbed and a little freaked out. Girls were talking about how they all supposedly lose their virginity with b/f. This is not really a question... I just want to know what you think, and what I should do... and does this go on in high school too?

Their's this young teacher who seem to favor the popular kids. She is seen talking to them positively, and goes the extra mile to help them. I don't really care, because I get good grades... But: when I see the Favored students do stuff as in : Put on headphones to listen to music, I get the same idea and put it on, but she tells me to take them off, and is always yelling at me or mean mugging me for no reason. Whats up with this, she does it with alot of other students. Dont get me wrong, she doesnt let some of the popular kids get away, but she lets them slide to much...

I find young kids so aggressive nowadays, not only in terms of speaking but more in their actions. Is this the adverse effect of having sex-education as a part of their class curriculum? Will this bring more curiosity in their young minds?

b) try and do my work (rofl)
c) find a way to get out of taking midterms (sexy time with my teacher maybe?)
d) try and find a way to bring back the dinosaurs (huh?)

Okay, I am a middle school boy. In school, we have to do a different sport each season. In the winter they generally offer basketball, hockey, swimming, and strength & conditioning. However, this year, they made 2 new offerings, squash and yoga. Today we had to sign up and I thought yoga might be cool to do. I was the only boy to sign up, but I don't care about that (my good friend was the only boy in swimming 2 years in a row.) My concern is not getting made fun of, because I have a great school community, where kids generally don't make fun of each other for stuff like that. Well, I came home today and told my mom that I was, and she was just like ok, but it seemed like she thought it was a bad idea. I'm not very into yoga or anything, I'm just not very athletic and I thought it might be cool. Do you think I should switch my sport or not? Would it be too girly? What do you think? I personally don't think it is a very big deal, but what are your opinions?

In addition, traditional size envelopes are 4 and1/8th inch by 9 and 1/2 inch ?

Of course this is to enclose the previously mentioned paper size. But seriously, the issue is the same.

Why ?

Also, why are index cards 4" by 6" and 3" by 5" ??

Who makes these rules !?

We must know !!!

My chemistry teacher sometimes collects homework, but sometimes she doesn't. There was one day where she went over the homework, but I didn't hear the part when she said, "pass up your homework"...if she did. So it turns out she collected the homework, but I got a zero on it because I never turned it in. But the problem is, I DID IT. I spent quite a while on it, and I finished it before the day it was due. I don't know how to explain this to my teacher. What should I do?
The homework is worth a lot of points too.

My english 1 honors class is very fast moving and the teacher is horrible. He does not teach anything. His reviews are not very helpful to me, because he makes jokes nearly the entire time and it just confuses me while I'm trying to take notes. The ciriculum is mythology. I had a horrendous memory and can barely remember everyone we need to know. His tests and quizzes are very difficult for me, because I forget one or two things and I bomb it. How can I work around the bad teacher and help myself with the cirriculum to bring my grade up?
