Here in Wales in primary school we learn Welsh.
And all the way through high school we have to learn Welsh, French up to age 15 and have a choice of German.
Whats it like in England ??? Or other countries?

book bag and a binder and inside of it is 1 5 subject note book my planner, ruler, pencil box,small calculator, electronic dictonary and inside the back pack are another 5 subject note book and a index card box with index cards in there and thats it should i bring all of this or no give me your opinion

cause i want to go to a privite high school, but its too expensive, so i want to know do sholarships just come to you or can you apply for one or how does it all work, and i am a very good student, i have a 3.9 GPA, National Junoir Honors Society, 2 ap classes(lituature, and math[thats what my school has so i'm in everything advanced at my school)? So how does this work?

Today was our unofficial first day of middle school where we had to get from class to class then the teachers just talked to use a little, and it was a 3 hopur day. THe lessons start for us on tueasdat but my mathteacher asked us if anyone knew what 1+1+1= 1 means he said heed tell us in november but i wanna know!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are attending a boarding school thats located in the city you live in, which is about 2 hours away from your home. Are you alowed to visit home on the weekends or is it forbiden to leave the school at all times?

All of the juniors and seniors leave to go off campus for lunch, and almost all of the sopomores link up with with older kids who can drive, which I do not seem to be able to do, and I don't know any kids at this school since when they changed the school boundaires all my friends went to another high school. Sophomores are pretty much the only ones who can't drive so it leaves us being the only ones there if we are unable to get to older kids who we know to take us (freshmans go to jr. high in my area). What suggestions do you have to make lunch more bearable? I've tried just going and sitting with groups of kids and for the least to say they just got up and left and went to another table.

is it too late to sign up for clubs in the first day of school? i want to join speech and/or debate. anyway, this is gonna be my schedule: drama, pe, english honors, heath&safety, geometry, and biology honors. will i be able to learn a language next year?

Here in Scotland a child starts the year they turn 5. My friends kids have started this year, one was 5 in may and the other will be 5 in Oct.

Just read that Madeleine McCann was due to start school and she has just turned 4.

I've gotten straight As since 6th grade. I've been labeled "gifted." I've been in all the so-called "advanced" classes. I'm not some sort of drug-addicted bum who's tired of making an effort. School is honestly ruining my life! I'm force-fed information that I'll forget in a week, and that doesn't matter in the first place. How many adults have needed to know the tiny details of Assyrians' military innovations in order to do their job? How many adults remember HALF of what they "learned"?
I spend six hours a day being bombarded with useless information. Then, when I get home, I can't research the things I'm really interested in because I have no energy. It consumes my life and it's pointless and condescending. The switch to online school didn't help, either.
Now I'm trying to figure out what to do. Drop out and get my GED? Unschool? Just stop making an effort and get Fs and not give a **** because grades are stupid anyway? I'm tired of playing along. What should I do now, then?
