some teachers are uptight when it comes to being late. id speed walk and weave in and out of the kids in the halls, instead of running like crazy.

i have the same problem at my school we don't have portables but we have 4 floors and i am usually going from second to fourth to first to third floor so i agree in either of our cases 3 minutes isn't enough time to get to class on time my teachers are vary strict if you are late by more than 30 seconds they mark you tardy and we get a detention for every 3 tardies we have which i think is unfair if we have to go between 4 floors i am going to talk to my guidance counselor tomorrow so i can maybe get my classes changed around a little before school starts on Wednesday so i know that i will be able to get to class that is what i would say for you to do talk to your guidance counselor and see what they can do if they can't help you out than i would say that you just need to tell your teachers the problem and explain to them that you may be late sometimes but you will try you hardest to make it there on time and you apologize in advance for being late

In my school, we have 5 minutes to get from class to class, and it's plenty of time. 3 minutes should be fine. If you're having trouble, though, talk to your teachers or counselor about it. Teachers usually will mark you tardy if you're 2 minutes late, but they give you more time to get out to the portables. Usually, if you're more than 10 minutes late you get an unexcused absence. I hope this helped!

I don't know how big your high school is, but at mine (3,000 students, with the buildings all set out in a row) that would have been impossible. And it certainly doesn't allow anyone to use the restroom which sounds inhumane to me.

3 minutes is definitely not enough, you need at least 5 minutes in case you have to go the restroom, locker or something. maybe you can take you concern to your teacher, principle, or councilor.

nope, especially if you have to drop off books at your locker or stop too pee. have your family doctor write you a bathroom note so you will be excused to pee any time and have excused tardiness (within reason) for urinating.
