ok well i'm going to be a junior soon in high school. I currently take very high level classes such as gt/ap and get pretty good grades. However, when it comes to math i am an idiottt. (Let me stress that again idiot). Anyway, I have done several sat practice tests and have done so well on the english, getting almost a perfect. However i do horribly on the math section. (Think 400 and below). What should i do? Does being very horrible at math make me stupid? I keep practicing but not much is changing. Help please.

I have lived in America (California) all my life, but recently, after 8th grade (middle school), I have moved to ShangHai, China to attend International School.

I want to go back to the USA to attend at LEAST the last 2 years of high school, but my dad thinks I should stay here for 3 years, then go back for the last year, because then I could "Relax". He thinks that by then, we'd already have all the college apps. mailed out, is this true?

The problem is, which actually would be a better year to go back to America: Sophomore year (if so), Junior year or Senior year? I need time to catch up (as China's International School might not have the exact curriculum as America's), adjust, and to get enough exceeding grades as to get into a good college.

Thank you, please tell me the reasons why you'd think whatever year is best to go back.

This past week a kid from the high school where I live got on the bus for home,( the same bus goes to the grade school where my child age 6 gets on and heads for home.) Just after the teenager boarded the bus and it took off he pulled out a knife and cut himself badly across the arm, the busdriver passed up the hospital, 911 dispatch and the sheriffs department on her way to the gradeschool and then proceeded to pick up the gradeschoolers. The bus driver never reported the incident, (the childs father contacted the school or something ) This child has been sent away on many occasions, I know this he lives just below me, Nothing was done to the child for having the knife in school and on the bus. Is there anything I can do to make sure this child never packs a knife again? (several of the high school children wittnesses this troubled child cutting himself, next time he may not cut himself but he may cut another child)

I want to play an instrument when school starts in like,two weeks and I want to make some new friends because its a new school (I moved and now I'm gonna be going to a Junior high,6th grade.)and so I want to join a lot of clubs.I noticed band and I seriously LOVE instruments but I don't know what to play.I have the choice of drums,flute,saxophone,guitar,clarinet,cello,violin,viola,trumpet,french horn.I think I want either a violin or a saxophone,(I think sax.)but can anyone give me their opinion on instruments?Answers Appreciated!Thanks!

I've been answering questions about what people should wear on their first day of school, which apparently is tomorrow for them. i was confused, because i live in Canada, and we don't start school until the first week of september.

I always heard that Virginia schools were very hard on their students. I didn't think so, but of course i never compared my school system to other ones. Here is the grading scale for Halifax County, Virginia.

94-100 A
86-93 B
78-85 C
70-77 D
69 or below F

Is this grading scale tougher than most? If so, what is the grading scale that you are used to?

A teacher in my school recently mentioned that she has been mentioned in the America's Who's Who in Education. I'm not sure what this award is about or what it entails.

Anyone know anything about it-like how you get nominated or win it, or what it's for?

when i wake up on week days i am too tired to get out of bed, or think about anything, and then my mum makes me gut up, i get depressed that i have to go to school.

i just cry all morning, and then i get even sadder that every body will see me crying again when i walk into class.

during lessons i get bored as crap because i have no friends in any of my classes to talk to. i get a's most of the time but i don't really se it as a good thing, i couldn't really care about it any more.

at recess and lunch i have a worse time than in class. i have friends, but we all make up the stupid loser group and i hate all my friends any way and i never let any of them come to my house because i don't want to get involved with them at all.

then all the bastard popular kids just purposely try to make every ones life wore for some reason. and say eeew your so ugly, bla ,bla ,bla go get a life.

some times i try to make my self spew, not to lose weight but it makes me feel better...

"A+" has been removed as an official grade for a long time, at least in Wisconsin. Why? Is the extra recoginition deemed excess or is it just unpopular? Now, there is no elite grade.

Confused cause i failed three classes?
Alright, I need to know if I get stuck in the tenth grade if I failed three classes in the school year? I failed global, math, and spanish. I was sent to summer school for math and spanish only because on the global regents i got a 92 and got my credit becuase of that. I took the spanish regents and passed. I did not attend summer school and I am wondering what is gonna happen. Am I gonna have to repeat all of my courses from tenth grade? Or do i move on to eleventh with taking only the same math and spanish courses?

Are scholarship oppurtunities lost for me and will I become a super senior?
Please give me a detailed response because i am really scared
One last thing, i failed 4 classes in the first term, and 3 in the second, do I get left back becuase of that?
Or do i just repeat the classes I failed?
The last few things i have to say are, i was in two accelerated classes, I finished physics, so i dont have to take it next year

I am starting middle school, I missed the orriantation, the new school is big. WHAT SHOULD I DO??!!
