The respiratory system provides oxygen to the blood. The circulatory system carries the oxygenated blood throughout the body, keeping cells (and you) alive and functioning well.

This is a real simple answer from simple me. One place they come into a big relation is in the lungs. Blood get oxygenated their. Their is a words like cardio respiratory and pulmonary aorta. I believe the right side of your heart may be the pulmonary side. So the left side pumps blood to the brain & body and the right side sends it through the lungs.

There's a condition called pulmonary edema and somehow the heart beat gets irregular and fluid starts gathering in the lungs.
