I just recently found out that my school will not be offering AP Psychology next year. I really wanted to take that but I have another option of taking classes at a local college to gain credits for college in the future (I'm going to be a junior next year).
If anyone can suggest colleges that offer psychology classes to high school students for credit it would be greatly appreciated.

I live in New York City and can only travel to Manhattan and Brooklyn. I hear CUNY and/or SUNY schools are good for this but I can never find information about this.

If you can please direct me to informarion and links and some suggestions that would be very helpful.

Thank You!

I am only a junior in high school, but I am really confused about the path taht I should take to make it easier to become a pharmacist. I don't know what classes I should start taking, what are all the steps to become a pharacist, and what am I to expect? in my junior year I am taking 5 AP classes, but now I heard that taking AP classes won't count as college classes if I am to become a pharmacist. Is this true? I had all my steps planned out for just high school, but now I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time by taking alot of classes that will not count later on in college. can someone please help me? and i would also like to know if Latin is a required class to take to become a pharmacist?

I was looking at the democratic debate on Thursday and one of the interviewers stated that blacks with high school diplomas or blacks that graduated from high school have higher (33%) unemployment rates than whites who have dropped out of high school or whites without a high school diploma. I was in shock by that statement. Is anybody else in shock by that?

Hi there.
I am Japanese, have been studying English for about 4 years.
My problem there is can not aquire its pronunciation and accent.

As to English grammar, writing and reading, there are some rules so that I can imagine that I would get it some day myself.
I have been listening lots of CDs and news for over 2 years, but I can not find out any rules for accent and any dirrerence between ex:R and L, wondering if I could speak an understandable English one day.

Could anyone advise or tell me if it is a matter of great importance to make people understand?

Yesterday I went to the Guidance Counsellor at my high school and changed my Math course to Academic, because I have intentions to go to University. Now I would like to change my French to applied but my dad is saying that I am taking the way out. My dad took everything hard in high school, and he expects me to do so to. But I don't want to. I am really excited for high school but I feel pressured to do what he wants. It's my education and he just doesn't understand. My mother is fine with whatever I want to take. I'm going to grade 9 next year and I don't need the extra stress.

I'm planning on changing my French to applied anyways, but how can I explain to my dad that he is putting pressure on me and that I want him to stop nagging me about my high school courses? He is always encouraging me to go to University, but I don't even know what I want to do yet.

It happened to me yesterday during work. A hostess wrote down a reservation card about "7 persons". And, a manager came up to me and said she was wrong about the "7 persons". I had no idea because the manager said that he learned it at school, teacher told him that person is only use as singular and people use as plural. And, the hostess said her major is English at Michigan University.

im going to be 9th grade when i start there. its really frustrating a little since im really comfortable with where i live right now, its really difficult leaving, i also dislike the fact that i need to be a freshman. again....since the first year here is considered as 8th grade there...i cant believe i'll be studying an additional year! well im really shy when i meet new people, and somehow get in trouble when im at school, since i tend to doze off from the lectures.i also tend to talk a lot if im forced to make friends with others, i think they think im annoying that way. but im nervous. so can anyone tell me what i should do to fit in?

Alright, I've been debating over this for months. I just finished 9th grade. My parents are divorced but they've lived in the same town for my sake when it came to school. I've gone to the same school district since kindergarten, but I've never really liked it. Especially after I began middle school- there's only about 75 students in my class and I'm friends with some of them but I'm not really close to anyone. Also, I don't like a lot of the teachers in the high school. It's a really small school; it's one of the smallest in the state. My dad is moving to a new town about 45 mintues away and I'm considering switching schools. The new school is bigger, has a wider course selection, a better theatre program (which is my main activity that I do in school), and a chance to make a lot of new friends. Does it matter that I get pretty good grades in the school I'm at now? Should I switch high schools? Thanks.

I am going into my Sophomore year of highschool and I took Latin 1 H. I ended up loving it, not finding it extremely challenging, and getting my best final grade in Latin, an A+. I am planning on taking Latin all 4 years of school, and I plan on taking Ancient Greek for the next 3 years as well, in hopes that it will be a challenge. (From what I hear, the other, more standard languages offered at my school are not as difficult as Latin, and I don't want to just take the easy way out, thank you very much) Do you think that taking these languages is a waste of time?

If kids don't perform to a certain level, they are moved to a separate school. This allows a quality learning environment for those who who want to learn. They could also improve their perfomance and return to the other school.

I really don't understand why the school and the district make a big deal about kids bringing their cell phone to school. It not like they are going to use it during class, and if they do I have no problem with them confiscating it. I think it okay to bring phone to school if the phone is turn-off all time. It best for younger kids to have a phone around due to the facts with today society. Does anyone agree with me?

I'm currently in year 10 and I've just finished my mock GCSE exams last week... I don't have my results yet but I know I didn't get B or higher in English and I'm worried i'm going to end up doing foundation paper in the real GCSE exam (the highest grade you can get is a C).

My analysis is strong in my courseworks and I usually get B+/A for them, but the problem is that I make some grammatical mistakes and also that I can't even analyse well like my courseworks when i sit exams- my vocabularies fly out of my brain, and I think/write extremely slowly when it comes to constructing sentences in english.

It was worse yesterday because I felt quite ill and I didn't get to finish my second essay. My teacher knows but I don't think I'll be able to retake it.

If I impress my teacher in year 11 would I be able to take higher exam aiming to get a B? also would I be able to go to a good university even if I get a C in English...?
