See?, i got into the North Carolina school of science and math (NCSSM). If youve heard of it, then you know that they accept top high school students from all over NC. Thing is, my school is a very good school, and im in the top ten of my class. Plus none of my friends are going to NCSSM. The school is harder, ill be getting less sleep for sure, and its not very fun. But, the school IS a good school, and it looks good for applying to colleges. So, what do you think i should do? And why?

my school is a specialized prep honors academy. so they decided it would be fun to give out summer work.
I have to read 5 books and do book reports for each one...then, i have to answer three questions and write a paragraph on 10 different topics!!!

Hi everyone i'm just really worried about summer school
can somebody tell me if i failed or not?
this is for science:
term 1= 50% term 2=57% term 3= 45% final exam= 53%

and if i take summer school, does that mean i can't go on my vacation which i already bought the plane tickets for? please tel me its a pass

At the end of the 3rd Quarter my daughter got a C+ in English. As a father, I wasn't too happy about this. But I was understanding, as it was still her first year of High School, and she went to a academically tough Catholic School. We talked about it (and I remember she wanted a Nintendo Wii). So I made a deal with her, get an A- or higher for English for the 4th quarter, and I'd buy her a Wii. So for the last quarter, she studied so hard. She re-read stories and books. She would even stay in her school uniform because she didn't want to waste "studying time." I'd even see her in her school uniform on Friday Nights reading a book for an upcoming test. She would even put time for studying on Saturdays and Sundays. After all this, she only got a B+. She was so sad, but her teacher told us she put the most effort out of anyone. And when I look at it a B+ at a Catholic School (91.7%) is an A- at a public school. So what should I do? Do you think I should get it for her? I think she deserves it, but would breaking the deal make me a bad father?

I have a 4.2 G.P.A. (taking AP courses allows you to get a GPA higher than 4.0) and I'm taking 6 AP courses. It's very time consuming. I don't go out like my friends do, I don't go to clubs and partys because I hardly have time because of all the homework I have to do. Now its summer time and I still have to work because my parents bought me 6 thick SAT books they want me to work through.

I'm just thinking of taking normal classes because they are less time consuming and require less preparation. I just wanna be able to go out and have more free time and I don't feel like working anymore. I could have so much more fun if I had more time.

What do you think I should do?

Ok, I'm kind of confused about this, so I'll try and explain it to the best of my ability. Apparently, my mom thinks that if I were to move to Mexico and live with relatives there, I would have to pay someone(not sure who at this moment) tuition, or something like that, in order to get credit for high school courses taken there. Would this be true? Also, is there anything else I would need in order for classes taken in Mexico to count for credit? Thanks a lot in advance!

I need education tips... I am 20 and have a 4yr old and one due in July. I feel that gives me time to get my GED. I really want to go to college. I have a few ideas on what for but I need that GED. Does anybody know of any FREE ways to get your GED at home? Please also give me ideas on any other education. I am in the state of Ohio if that helps. Thank You.

im graduating in a few days from elementary school and im in grade 8 going into high school and i KNOW im gonna cry at grad, iv even teared up in my bed at night thinking about it. i love my class, and even our poor tiny school. ill miss the stupid assemblies, and even the meanest teachers. i just cant let go of the amazing times we had together. PLEASE give me some tips or things to think about so i can stop myself from crying?

I am going to be a junior in high school as of September. I am currently going into the year behind on 40 credits (5 credits per class per semester)

I am enrolling in Summer School this summer and next so, I'll potentially be caught up on 20 credits.

That leaves me potentially going into my junior year behind 30 credits and senior year behind 20.

What kind of options are out there for someone in my position?

i.e. Adult (NIght) School, Independent Study, etc, etc.



Anyone who knows what I am going through or can help, please please please answer!
