I am in Algebra 1 in the 8th grade. I am moving on to Geometry, for sure, freshmen year. I was talking to my friend and she offered to tutor me for the final exam. I have a D+, but I am doing extra credit and such. My percentage is 69. My teacher said that she thinks, and bets, that I will raise my grade. I need 95% or higher on the exam to get a C+/B- and when I turn in the extra credit I will have a B/B+. I came home today and told my father, since he hates when I keep secrets. He nearly had a heart attack! He started screaming and yelling, I tried to explain to him what everyone and me were doing to raise my grade, yet he still yelled at me. He said that I can't fail and that if I have anything below a B I will go to a summer school. I said that I can't because the school has to send you to one, if you fail. I won't fail. Even if I take the Exam and get above an 80%, I can't go. What should I do about my dad? Do you think I'll end up going to summer school? What should I do? HELP!

Google the high school in Boulder. They did exactly that. Parents wouldn't have know if somebody didn't tape the mandatory assembly. Many schools promote things that don't belong in public schools and which many parents disagree with (they are the paying customers) is this what education should be about?

And really need to make a good grade to get into nursing school. I have never taken anatomy before and wonderd is anyone knew of any good books I could look at to kind of jumpstart my learning before class actually starts in Aug.

In August we wil have the results and i cry will go up that the exams have been dummed down. Many in education will agree and others won't.
Would it not be a better idea to make them competative onlt a certain percenrage to gain an A grade etc. Thuis wioll stil reward the most able whilst indicating to the aurthorities wether or not standards are reducing or getting better. It would even out and enable standards to gradually rise to the levels of past years. ps I am a GSE failure from the 1960 nightschools I blame no one but myself

Is the amount of people asking questions in Singles, teens & pregnancy proof sex ed is **** & teachers usless


Surely if educated in all aspects of realtioships, dating, sex, pregnancy, how you can and cant get pregnant...

you would not get so many comming here and so many getting pregnant as clearly aint been taught right.


Likewise the age indicating it should all be done earlier...

Ie start age 5, mention gays then, by 13/14 we are talking trips to Ann summers to discuss all the products and the basics were done many years ago.


Oh and telling the parents if they really thought it was their job why don they beat the teachers too it and go into more detail?

so yea i was thinking about learning piccolo for the summer, so i can join marching band next year in 8th grade, can ppl tell me....
1) is oboe a grl instrument?? im a guy..
2) is piccolo a instrument that normally appear in marching band?
3) does GUYZ play piccolo?
4) how much is a piccolo (i might not buy it tho xD)
