Maths is boring because the answers are always right or wrong. There is no space for creativity, individual thought or free expression. Some people get off on solving equations, drawing graphs or factorising;but these are the sort of people who like routine, everything to be black or white, and having the safety of knowing that there's a formula to solve a problem. They love to be able to put things into boxes, neatly labelled. You are clearly not one of these people. My guess is you're good at Art or English, where you can be more experimental and creative. This would terrify the Maths geeks! It's horses for courses. Just learn enough to pass your exams, and as long as you can multiply, divide, add and subtract, you will never have any worries in life. Great question, by the way!

sorry, but math is not boring at all, you or your teacher are making this subjects boring, I mean, when you find something boring is just because the method is not the best one, I suggest to your and you math teacher to do some funny things with math class and get relax in this class so in that way you will enjoy it, trust me!!

hello ezzy,
i totally disagree with you.i feel that mathematics is the most interesting subject.u might hate maths if u dont have a good teacher who doesnt make the methods clear. if you are unable to understand, then ask your teacher to again explain it for you. if still you dont understand, then you must have a well qualified and experienced math teacher for yourself.
ask the tutor to daily give you some assignment for home.do the sums in free time especially those which seem difficult to you. if you are unable to solve any sum,try it again and again.
if still any problem, ask your tutor to explain that. practice that 2-3 times. you must know that practice makes a man perfect.
by doing these things, you will start loving maths and you will always be curious to read maths.

I think maths is boring because they always make you trust them (maths teachers). they never explain anything. for example:
teacher: so y=n2+5
me: why?
teacher: it just does!
me: i dont get it?
teacher: its simple...blahblahblahblha
then the teacher in question goes on and on about something you inderstand even less than y=n2+5
so there i am finished ranting about maths...
have a nice day!!!

math might be boring if you have a boring teacher..
my algebra teacher told us how to remember things like sine, cosine and tangent..
and..
one of the ways was kind of inappropriate but it helps us remember things and it's fun for us..

If it's boring, try to find exciting ways to use it. One thing you could do is learn the mathematics of finance. That way you could learn how to invest and save your money so that you will have even more money later on. I don't know anybody who can't get excited about that.
