On which boards and which papers, if any can you get a D is the Foundation tier?

It varies between exam boards. But roughly the boundaries are as follows:

A* - B/C = Higher

C - D = Intermatiate

D - G = Foundation

the highest grade you can get on foundation tier is a C. hope this helps

On foundation tier, you can get grades C-G.

On higher tier, you can get grades A*-D
