Hmmm.. Well im sure they won't think you are desperate because u want to talk to them infact it will just make u seem more friendly XD.. First ask them for their name and age if u can then, You could ask them what state they're from and how's school over there compared to your country and how do they feel about your country , what are their hobbies etc..

Okay, so this is going to be hard work. Becoming popular again takes some time, so don't expect to be the coolest girl in school again by tomorrow. I know from experience, and I just want to let you know that it won't be easy. I also need to warn you that some bad things might happen. People will start to dislike you, you might start getting bad grades, etc. It's your choice. The first thing you should do is stalk them. But not in the creepy way. Sort of listen in on their conversations for a few days and listen to where they'll be hanging out and stuff like that. Then, you'd go there, too. For instance, if they're going to go to the mall at seven, you'll be going to the mall at seven, and when they see you as they're passing by, you should be doing something really interesting or impressive. You should try to make it interesting enough for them to stop by and say hi, or at least catch their eye. From then on, just keep trying to impress them. If you're doing an okay job, they'll eventually start talking to you again. But this might mean that you'll have to ditch your other friends for them to like you. (Hence the "people will stop liking you" part.) I don't know. That's what I did, and it worked. But after a while, i began to realize how horrible being popular is. But it's your choice. Good luck. P.S.: Don't forget to act cool. You can't be all jittery when they see you. Act natural.

They are probably wishing that someone would talk to them!!!

Try asking them where their home is in the US. Maybe you could show a US map and ask them to show where they are from. Ask them to tell you about their home. And maybe show a Uruguay magazine with pictures of American music or cinema guys... talk about your favorites. Or ask them to explain how american football or baseball works. Ask them qhat they like to do in Uruguay. Maybe you could invite them to visit your home or eat dinner with your family - lots of times Americans visit other countries and they do not get to meet the real people of the country... they dont get to visit a home or see what the kids in Uruguay do for fun....

They probably came to Uruguay to see what it is like. So they want to talk to you and your friends and get to know what kids in Uruguay think about.

Don't worry about looking desperate. They are a long way from home and probably lonely. Be a friend!
