Google the high school in Boulder. They did exactly that. Parents wouldn't have know if somebody didn't tape the mandatory assembly. Many schools promote things that don't belong in public schools and which many parents disagree with (they are the paying customers) is this what education should be about?

Yes it does bothers me. Promoting sex experimentation and drug use, does NOT belong in schools where people are learning.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with teaching kids about sex. the more they know the better choices they can make because trust me- most kids DONT wait till marriage. being EDUCATED enough to make the correct decisions. and learning about drug use is just as important. by learning about different drugs and their effects, they are less likely to use them.

Education is what it should be all about, just like you said. That means learning new things, being exposed to new things. If that means getting knowledge about sex or about drugs...well...knowledge is power. Ignorance is NOT strength. Its almost always what you don't know that hurts you.
