A better way to honor those who died is to go on with our lives and not let the terrorists win. A wonderful way to pay tribute to those who died would be some type of memorial service or assembly.

And as a teacher, if I can't be off, then forget it.

You really shouldn't try to profit off the deaths of others. Is a day off from school really what they want to be remembered for.

Unless you're gonna stay home and wave a flag all day, go to school, get you some learnin. I think it's what they would have wanted.

Instead of no school on Sept. 11, schools should have classes dedicated to what happened, why it happened and teach some basic knowledge of the mid-east (not just anti-Islamic rhetoric).

Stay in school. Get your principal to put on a memorial service for the 3,000 murdered Americans.

I think you learn and understand more about the events when you are in school. Rather than calling for school to close, maybe you should just encourage awareness.

We don't need another excuse for missing more school. It won't bring anybody back. Stay in school.
