That is EXACTLY how I felt. Once I left 8th grade for High School I was unbelievably sad because of different schools / moving friends that were leaving me. It literally took me almost half of the summer to get over leaving middle school. BUT GOOD NEWS (:
Once I got into High School everything felt so much better, I still missed middle school and my moved away friends.. but I made so many new friends and was around the friend's that stayed with me.
You don't have to worry. I think just about everyone goes through this phase (: but it only lasts so long. You'll love High School .. so maybe it won't take you as long as it took me to get over it because you have to realize you have four more memorable years of high school to make up for it.
Good luccckk. (:

Last day was bittersweet for me. I am the only one leaving the state for college in my group of friends. So I was happy cause I could always come home to see them but I wont see them for months at a time.
You always stay in touch with some friends, but some friendships you grow out of. So look forward to High School because then you get to make new friends!

Last day of school is awesome. My friends and I would do crazy things together particularly play pranks on teachers and fellow schoolmates....but the best part is saying goodbye at least for a while. When it's time to say goodbye, you'll know and appreciate your friends a lot more than ever.We would cry and hug each other and promise to meet again during summer/winter vacations. You'll know who your true friends are and you feel part of everything.

It is kind of hard leaving ur friends for 2 months or leaving them forever. Staying in touch and meeting up during the summer can help u if u feel sad about not seeing ur friends for 3 months

I always loved the last day of school. It was an instant stress reliever for me. I got to hang out with some of my friends over the summer. The next year, I always made new friends. Because of this my circle of friends has grown and grown.

I get really excited for it, and then when it comes, I never want it to end, because I'm not gonna see some of these people until September!!!
