Huge difference in job. If you want less responsibilities and you're good with math/counting money, do treasurer. If you're looking for greater involvement and responsibilities (and you have the organizational skills and dependability) then go for president.

In terms of campaigning, it's a popularity contest. be nice to people, make lots of friends, and be honest when making a speech. Be yourself, and you'll draw people to yourself naturally. Either one is a kind of position that gives you glory(popularity), but that's not the objective. Either position is a big one, because you're serving the rest of your class/school!

Hope that helps a bit - I can explain more if you'd like me to. =)

(-: You should run for something. Even if you lose, you learn about how to run for something, and it's good practice for future elections.

Make a list of the pros and cons of being treasurer, and being president. And then go with what gives you the most benefits and least bad things.

Good luck, and I hope you win!
