Connecticut...i know that in 2003 and 2004 it had the highest average teacher salary, and I would be willing to bet anything that it has stayed the same.

New York would have to be way up there. Custodian's average $50,000 a year. Teachers might do alot better than that. The cost of living there is expensive.

A couple years ago it was California. Connecticut is near the top of the list too.
