last year, i wore mascara and lipstick, and sometimes eyeshadow [and i didnt put it on crappy or anthing, i hate when girls overdo it]

so now, a couple months later, i met this guy i had a crush on last year, and i woke up late, so decide to skip the makeup.

so all last year, when i wore makeup, he never gave me a compliment, and this year, when i just started talking to him without any on, he said i looked hot!

do guys just completely not notice when girls are wearing makeup at all?? because personally, i think as long as you dont overdo it and look slutty, it makes you look better, but guys dont seem to care?

Students use the net to organise a little surpise.

On one day as a whole in assembly...

ALL the students in all learns get up and demand dutch style teach EVERYTHING sex ed.

Outnumbering what would the odds be say 1000 to 20? the teachers and in all schools on the same day so the riot police are somewhat outnumbered.

Oh and orgnanised so they are taught about the terroist hostage tactic of picking on one or two to scare the rest.

So expelling a ring leader would not help as the other 1000 wouls support them and as one goes down all else replace them

Some of the questions on Y!A are difficult to believe in the extreme eg if I can't afford to fly how long would it take to drive to Australia?

So....do you get taught about other countries in your education system? Would the average student be able to name all the Scandanavian countries?

I am in high school and my teacher has given the entire class a chapter to copy out of our textbooks for the second time in the last week. I hate this so much. :( Last time my hand hurt so bad I thought it was going to fall off by the end. It seemed like I was wriitng forever because these biology chapters are sooo long. And this time our teacher said she would grade it as an assignment and neatness counts. I told my mom about it and she said I have to do it because the teacher assinged it. People who have done this have any advice for me on how to write so much without my hand falling off? Or even anyone else who writes alot. I have been writing for the past 3 hours since school got out and my hand aches typing this. Please please any advice.

Why isn't RIT throwing the iPhone hacker kid out of school?

He literally broke a lock to a house that was not his, sold how to do it, and now anyone can break into the house and cook their own food on their stove (to use an analogy).

He's absolutely a thief...why is RIT allowing him access their systems?

When I was 16 in a biology class, a teacher asked me, "Is school or work more important?"

This was the day after I told my group that I couldn't meet with them because i had to go to work. I told the teacher (a big c*nt) that school is more important and I got a grade lower on the project (not too shabby for doing nothing)

Anyways, I now feel that I should have said that work is more important, because in a way it is, since that is what i'll be doing for the rest of my life. I ended up working in retail after graduating from college, which I was doing when I was 16 as well. The biology I learned ended up being useless.

I'm only going into grade 7 but I'm looking at my choices to see what I might be interested in taking in the future. I saw one course that looked interesting but the name had 11 in it, and I think that means the grade. Would I be allowed to take it?

I took Spanish in 9th grade, then I wanted to try French so I took both Spanish and French in 10th grade. Well I absolutely fell in love with French so I wanted to switch to French for 11th grade (I can only take 1 language this year). However my parents want me to take Spanish because they say it will be more useful and it will look better on college applications if I took the same language through high school. Oh and I don't know if it affects the matter but I want to be an artist or actress.

Class registration is tomorrow and I don't know what to do! Do colleges really care that much if you switch languages? I really want to take French but I'm not sure if it's worth risking my chance of getting into a college I like. On the other hand, learning a language is a life skill and I might regret not going with the one I like. I'M SO CONFUSED!

I am 15 and I just started my 10th grade year. I find everything to be so easy there. I take honors classes as well and all the teachers treat everyone like they're back in 5th grade. They even forced me to get a binder to "teach" me how to be organized. Like I don't know how after 10 years of school. They go very slowly on the easiest topics and don't get a lot done. I read an article that polled several thousand students what they thought about high school. Most said something along the lines of "I think it could be more challenging or interesting." I agree 100% with that. What should we do to step it up a knotch in public high schools? I know everybody isn't as smart as me, but this is just getting ridiculous.

Do you think that parent should start teaching their children a trade from the start, so by the time they are 18, they know what they want, which will decrease a % of high school/college drop-outs? What do you think?

Today was the first day of school. there are 3 lunches at school depending on which class the 5th period is. At first the teacher told us to go to A lunch then when we went back he says that we actually had B lunch so today I had two lunches. Anyway, I was fine with A lunch because all my friends are in that lunch, now that he says we have B lunch I really dont know what to do!!! Who the heck am I going to sit with? I cant bear sitting alone, its so sad, I felt like i wanted to cry! its so horrible, i dont know anyone, and i dont think im going to be able to make any new friends because everyone has already established a group. Im so devastated because my day was going so great until i found out my lunch period is so horrible. Please tell what i should do. Should i tell the counselor i want to switch into a different lunch? i know she wont let me unless i really had a promblem with my class schedule. I dont know what to do!! I cant sit alone again, and i dont want to tag along with ppl
