Schools often station people in the hallways to help students find their way to classes during the first few days of the year. Find out if your school will be doing that. If they don't then get a copy of the map of the classrooms. The school office should have this. Locate your classes on the map and mark where they are. Plan the route you will need to take to get from class to class. If you have trouble, ask and adult for assistance. But don't spend your time worrying about this.

Even though it's been a while since my first day at high school, I have started a lot of new jobs and other sorts of experiences and I think that the not-knowing is part of the plan. If you don't know where you're going, you will inevitably be late and you will also inevitably have to talk to people to find out where you're going. Getting a map is all well and good, but getting to know people is the point of high school. Go with the flow, chat people up and learn about life as well as the layout of the campus.
Good luck!!!

When I started highschool, I was lost. After the first couple of days, I got the hang of it and could find my classes pretty well. Go to school a bit early, and try to find the classrooms listed on your schedule. It will help a lot, and you'll see other parts of the school as you look.

You'll learn your way around eventually. The best thing you can do for now is make sure you have your schedule with you every day. If you get lost, ask a teacher for help, any of them will help you. If your school offers maps, make sure you get one and highlight your classrooms on it. Keep it until you're sure of your way around. Good luck!

On the first day of classes (or sooner if possible) ask for a map of the school. If it still seems confusing ask one of your teachers that seems like they are approachable if they recommend an upperclassman (or ask the student for you) to give you a tour of the school to help you become familiar!

It's no problem!!! You'll probably see a million maps taped to classroom windows on the first day!!!

You need help. Do you know anyone who might be able to help you with school layout? Talk to them and just relax...it'll help you remember. No one expects you to remember everything all at once.
