All of the juniors and seniors leave to go off campus for lunch, and almost all of the sopomores link up with with older kids who can drive, which I do not seem to be able to do, and I don't know any kids at this school since when they changed the school boundaires all my friends went to another high school. Sophomores are pretty much the only ones who can't drive so it leaves us being the only ones there if we are unable to get to older kids who we know to take us (freshmans go to jr. high in my area). What suggestions do you have to make lunch more bearable? I've tried just going and sitting with groups of kids and for the least to say they just got up and left and went to another table.

I had that problem too. For a while I was lonely. Then I studied to save time later. Soon I made friends......just be friendly, smile and as hard as it is....B yourself and even ask someone to join you. Lots of kids feel the same way you do. GOOD LUCK

See if you can get into a class that period. In our school, you can take classes during the lunch time. That way I got to take a couple of art classes I would never have been able to take. My friend took three years of ROTC and went into the army at a higher pay grade. All because the ROTC instructor let him eat lunch in the back of the classroom while he listened.
See if you can do something like that!

At my school we have a closed campus, we can't go out for lunch. Just stick with your friends if they are on your lunch. I'm not sure what else to suggest. I'm sorry I guess I haven't provided much help...
