You know, a series of still images with audio commentary. I suppose the modern equivalent would be a PowerPoint presentation. But do schools use them? Or something else? Is it all on video now?

Depends on the teacher. I've seen it all--filmstrips (still used), Power Point presentations, video/dvd footage, even taking photos on a digital camera and hooking the camera up to the tv. The sky is the limit with technology in the classroom.

definitely PowerPoint...thats what all my instructors use...I do however have one that still used slides on a projector....but obviously there is no audio.

I believe PowerPoint is the best way to go.
