I want [Kuya] Chris Tiu to answer this. :)) Haha. Kidding. :P Anyway, high school in my school is pretty tough. There's pressure everywhere and truckloads of homework are given to us everyday. I was an honor student during grade school and I really need to maintain my grades. Any tips? :D

theres a rumor of a school shooting goind on, the cameras were vandalized and one ripped out from its place, now since tuesday there have been SCHOOL WIDE rumors, its all we talk about in class. well rumor is friday at our pep rally the shooting will occur. anyways should i go to the pep rally? or skip and go to study hall?

do you think the school should place a lockdown? also its a rumor but if it was a joke it wouldve stopped and now the whole school is talking about it. the school will not do anything because they dont have physical evidence like a hitlist, so right now everyone is talking about it but the school isnt doing anything to prevent this if it is true. theyre waiting till a dead body shows up -_- and they allow backpacks at the pep rally so some1 can sneak a gun inside the gym..should i go or not? and do you think the school should do a lockdown for a search even though its a school wide rumor bringing huge attention, not to mention cameras vandalized and non working.

I'm thinking about attending a boarding school for my sophmore-senior years, money permitting.

I was wondering if anyone would like to share their boarding school experiences with me. I'm trying to do as much research as possible on the subject. What was it like? How did you like it? Was it more academically stimulating than a normal high school? How homesick did you get, ect.

have to take PE 10? English 10? credits like that to graduate?

ps.. let me know if you have any good ideas for getting suspended because i really want to be suspended from my school right now. (You dont get in trouble if you start a fist fight either)

If you must know i found this out a while ago.. one of the PE 10 teachers was a cross country couch (like a year or two ago) and he used to STARE at the preppy chicks while they ran..

Also, what do you consider to be PE participation?

I heard on the radio this morning that this middle school in Oregon plans on distributing prescribed birth control to their students. School officials stated that the reason they're planning to do this is because parents should not ignore the fact children in this age bracket are having sex. However, many parents argue that middle school students are too young to have birth control pills. The dj stated that he agrees with the parents. He also stated that he thinks it is ok to pass out birthcontrol pills to high school students. What do you think?

I believe I did have ADD when I was a child. No one ever told me, but I was disruptive and I failed the second grade. It went untreated, but I figured that it just "went away" when my grades improved greatly in high school. I graduated with honors, but I had to put a great deal of effort into my studying because I could not absorb info as well as other people. I do suffer from depression, however.

In the 3rd grade I would have some people pull me from class and observe me as I played with some toy soldiers and dinosaurs. I still don't know what the purpose of that was.

In the 4th grade I was put to sit in the back of the room, near the sink, and apart from the rest of the students.

Does this sound like it might have been ADD. Should I seek some kind of help? I am already on Lexapro (since last Wednesday).

I'm a student at a middle school of about 600 kids. I'm in 8th grade, and I'm 13 years of age. I am pretty smart and maintain an A average, and I always seem to have a different perspective than other kids. I have just been thinking, do teachers really like being around a bunch of kids all day? I know I wouldn't. And does it creep teachers out when kids are obsessed with their grades? I know, it's an odd question. And also, do teachers see through the "preppy" kids when they act all teachers pet-ish? Or do they just think of them as good kids? I know some are really good kids, But I know alot of people who act innocent around authority, but definately arn't at all. Just some random thoughts that circulate through my head. I'd appriciate answers, if anyone doesn't mind!

Thanks for your help, before hand.

Hi, I have problem. When I was two months old I had a very high fever caused by an infection and was in the hospital for another two months. This fever caused some of my brain to "fry." This effected my eyes, so I am almost blind in my left eye. This frying effected my processing. I did not show signs of this being a problem until 3rd grade. I am in 10th grade now and have had to work so hard at getting around my processing problem, and learning to deal with it.

Well in geometry right now we are going paraellel lines and transversals. I can see the transversals but I never know which one to use. My mom decided to set up a bunch of meetings with my teacher and guidence couciler so we could "accomidate" me. They want me to have enchanced work, meaning the teacher shows me which transversal to use. She will do this will all lessons like this. I don't want to do that, I want to be like everyone else and do it the way everyone else is too. I don't want special privliages. (MORE to follow

Last year I was in basic math (7th grade) and I got all A's. Now in 8th grade, I feel really horrible when it comes to math, because I'm literally failing and I'm in advanced math. I got an "F" on the first test, and a "C" on the second. Now my average is a C+. I don't know how to feel better because if my dad finds out, he will kill me. I don't know how to do better!!! I've never gotten a low grade before or an "F"!!!!

I'm a sophomore and this year I'm taking all honors and ap. I'm taking:
Honors Alg. 2
Honors Eng.
AP US Hist.
Spanish 3
Culinary Arts
Honors Bio.

Honors English and AP US History are co-hort classes. Meaning, if I drop out of one, I have to drop out of the other one.

I understand colleges are looking for students who are taking advance classes in High School, but for some reason, I'm not doing very well in history. I don't seem to have time to take notes on chapters of the American Pageant so I use the internet. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I am having a hard time managing my time with other homework and after school activities. We get to use our notes for quizzes which are always pop-quizzes and I do poorly on them, C or lower. The reason being is that I don't have very good vocabulary skills so I have a hard time understanding the questions. Also, I'm a poor writer, I was never good at writing and I understand that writing is a big part of ap. Should I drop out?
