what about this one: "dad convoyed me to the school's door" Iwant to use a friendly word which ays dad came with me to the school's door Is 'convoyed' fine?

I would say "tips of my toes".
Convoyed is an over fancy word to use in this sentence really.
If the word convoyed must be used, it does make sense, but it is a bit convoluted.
The words accompanied, escorted or shadowed might be better.
A more appropriate sentence for the word convoyed might be when talking about lorries, trucks or wagons. "The covered wagons convoyed the length of the Oregon Trail"

first one is fine

and the second one is ok, but it sounds weird

accompanied would fit better
