Honestly, there's pretty much no way to study for the PSAT or pre-PSAT exams. These exams test you somewhat on the knowledge of concepts that you've learned up until now, but it also guages on how well you are tested and how well you take tests and exams. The trick is to be confident in your answers, and don't fret about it before you take it. Relax and take as much time as there is offered. If you finish before time is up, go back and check your answers, but at the same time, don't second-guess yourself unless you can use process of elimination to narrow it down. However, next time, read those PSAT/SAT study guides that are probably in your school library, because they help. Good Luck!

Yeah, every Junior across the US is taking the PSAT tomorrow. Glad I'm not a junior! I'm a senior, in case you were wondering.
Well, all I can tell you is, the point of the PSAT is to tell you what you know and what you don't know, so that when you take the real SAT, you can know what you need to study on more. Bottom line is; PSAT's don't really count too much, they don't count at all, they're just to see how you would do if you were taking the real SAT, so don't worry too much.

you should concentrate on relaxing, scan the test first, jot down any formulas you know, look for key words in multiple choice questions sometimes part of the answer is in the question. If you get to uptight nerves alone can cause you to not do so well. you know what you know and a test is only an example of how well you did on a test not self worth. do your best and move forward. next time try to prepare a little better and you have learned more than the test could ever teach you.

you cant really study for it anyway, because there are really no set subjects besides the broad definitions of English, Reading, and Math, this is just a PSAT so you can take it easy but still try to do your best, besides this is only to test your knowledge so far, so as long as you are up to date with all your classes you should have to worry about it. you might want to buy one of those study guides a month in advance before you take the SAT though.
i never stressed in these test, unlike some of my friend whose parents even made them take SAT classes during the summer, and i still did better than them even though i never studied a bit, all i did was just do my school work

Just take a deep breath. Accept what you know and what you do not know. This test really is trying to test how well you take tests. Try to eliminate some choices so you can take an educated guess.
If you stay relaxed you will do better than if you do not relax.
It really is a small thing in life. Ten years from now this issue is going to be a non event.
Good Luck!

If your PSAT is tomorrow, theres not a lot you can do right now. Its just a practice exam, and you should have been preparing through your schooling for a while now. the best thing you can do is get some rest and eat a good breakfast.

No point in studying now. Get a good night's sleep. Your pre-sleep meditation: "I will do just fine on this test." Do not study tonight. Deep breathing exercises may help.
Seriously, there is no way to study for these tests, certainly not overnight. If you need to take it again, or to get ready for the SAT, spend 6 months with Readers' Digest "word power" columns, read a lot of interesting books, do a lot of math problems (especially word problems), etc.
To help you calm down before your next test, get a copy of "The relaxation response" by Herbert Benson, MD. I recommend this to a lot of my patients, and every one who has read it has found it valuable.

the SAT you should worry, and you wouldnt have to worry if it was the PSAT. now this is the pre PSAT, so its just to get you used to what the PSAt and the SAT will be like. i am taking the PSAT on saturday and im not going to study. So i know what I need to study for the SAT. Maybe just lightly skim over the book if they gave it to you, but thats what the PSAT is for to see what you need to study.

Same here. You can't really study for the PSAT, the questions are based on what you know, you don't actually the questions on the PSAT, you just have to know more about the basic stuff you know....uhh kinda hard to explain

I would strongly suggest eating a good breakfast before your exam. Chances are you may do better than you think. When you are finished immediately begin prepaing for your next formal exam whether it be the SAT or repeating the PSAT.
