I want [Kuya] Chris Tiu to answer this. :)) Haha. Kidding. :P Anyway, high school in my school is pretty tough. There's pressure everywhere and truckloads of homework are given to us everyday. I was an honor student during grade school and I really need to maintain my grades. Any tips? :D

It’s really ones determination that will determine how far one will go in terms of getting good academic marks. Of course, there is no substitute for hard work. That’s the most basic. You have to review daily and keep up to the lessons. Having good study habits and staying focused, especially during exams. Also, getting on the good side of the teacher really helps, but know your limits.

Hi there. There are mainly three steps in getting high grades. 1. Study hard 2. Study hard, and 3. Study hard Prioritize your homework before playing computer games, etc. Have a balance in your work, like for example, give time in reading English about 10-15 mins, practice solving problems 5-7 mins, and read about Science about 10 mins. You wil see, the lessons will stay fresh in your mind. Im a student of a Science High School and these stpes are the ones applied which make students' grade high. Well I hope you may do these to maintain high grades and scores in quizzes.

It's really a matter of determination, and willingness to learn and to study. Most of us high school students, have quite a hard time coping with the new environment and new study matters, just like me. Elementary life is partly different from high school life in terms of academics. You need to have a goal, and try make sure that you reach what you're aiming for. Review as much as you can, and make sure you understand the lessons being taught. As much as possible, allot time for advance studying. Stay focused and avoid stuffs that might hinder you from reaching your goal. Time management is the key on sustaining high grades, and don't procrastinate.

Ask questions if you dont understand. Do your homework and ask for help if you need it. Stay organized, dont procrastinate and know how to prioritize. Develop a good realtionship with your teachers as a thoughtful and cooperative student. Make sure that you keep a balance in your life which includes fun with your friends, exercise, volunteer work and sports or other hobbies. While colleges look at grades they also want to see that you are a well rounded person.

Try to keep the "old" info current in your mind by reading over your notes on a regular basis. For instance, read your english notes on Monday, math notes Tuesday, social studies notes Wednesday ...etc. The information stays fresh in your mind which could cut down on study time for exams. I tried it & it does work.

Don't miss any class. Let your teacher know that you are interested by participating in discussions and volunteering during activities. Do your homework. Come to class prepared. Don't forget to have fun!
