I'm a student at a middle school of about 600 kids. I'm in 8th grade, and I'm 13 years of age. I am pretty smart and maintain an A average, and I always seem to have a different perspective than other kids. I have just been thinking, do teachers really like being around a bunch of kids all day? I know I wouldn't. And does it creep teachers out when kids are obsessed with their grades? I know, it's an odd question. And also, do teachers see through the "preppy" kids when they act all teachers pet-ish? Or do they just think of them as good kids? I know some are really good kids, But I know alot of people who act innocent around authority, but definately arn't at all. Just some random thoughts that circulate through my head. I'd appriciate answers, if anyone doesn't mind!

Thanks for your help, before hand.

I know some kids are just polite and nice, but others do try to suck up only for attention and the chance of getting better grades due to teachers feeling sorry for them.

You do not creep teachers out by wanting good grades. All teachers knew they would be around kids all day before they went into the field so for the most part most of them don't mind. Those who do, should not be teaching. Just because a kid is polite and easy to get along does not mean he is preppy and maybe there is something to see through, but I much rather have one of those than the kid who is rude, defensive and unwilling to work.

If teachers are very observant they will know but it is very difficult to say cause you only know what they do when they are in school unless when they get into trouble then you will come to know their other side.
