It depends on the employer. There are some who prefer a bachelors only. Others mandate a bachelors and an ABA approved certificate. Others are okay with an AA.

However, it's safe to say that a bachelors with an ABA approved paralegal certificate will probably get you farther in your career than an AA. (The more education you get, the chances are better for a higher base pay and more opportunity to change employers.)

the explanation they do no longer approve is which you cant be sure you took the course and can do the legal artwork. My husband is a lawyer and 3 secretaries past, she took online course that he performed for her. She placed her call out that she did no longer rather qualify for. I on the different hand took night college and have been given my paralegal degree, which i'm proud to placed on my resume. yet inspite of my paralegal degree, after searching for artwork, found out that maximum regulation companies do no longer pay lots for it, on account that they nonetheless in lots of states think of of paralegals as no greater effective than a secretary and pay them hence. I subsequently went into coverage as a declare adjuster making approximately double what a regulation business enterprise might pay me as a paralegal. So in the adventure that your corporation provides your call once you finished it and he pays you greater because of this, decide for it. however the only earnings you will get would be in case you look for employment later and can state you rather did paralegal artwork vs in common terms the internet degree. reliable success
