I am looking for an affordable flash that works on a nikon d80. Somewhere between 100-$200 is a good price range.

I'm interested in putting in two wireless IR cameras and a DVR to keep an eye on my property. Have you purchased any? If so, how did they work?

My daughter used my camera for a movie. When I turn the camera on now, the lens does not move in and out as usual and I get a "lens" message on my top display and then the camera shuts off. In viewing troubleshooting, it says that the zoom lever might have been moved during movie mode, however, I do not know how to fix this. Please HELP

I have one that was a part of a bundle for my camcorder. But I used 3 so far on my digital camera in 5 days. I need suggestions on which brand of screen protector that will stay on my digital cameras screen.

The max. manual exposure on the camera is 8 seconds. I would love to push that up to 30 seconds or more.
Is there any way possible (either software/firmware or hardware tweaking) to do this?
Please do not reply unless it can be done. Thanks.

I've collected a bunch of lenses for my EOS 30D, but now I'm taking an intro photography class that works entirely in film. Will my lenses be backward compatible with a 35mm Canon Rebel?

Requirements:

1. Easy to use; hopefully fairly intuitive.

2. MUST take closeups, preferally 12" or closer.

3. Will do most things automatically if desired but does allow user to set certain functions such as flash (on or off), various simplified light settings (cloudy day, dark room, etc.).

4. Must have Shake Reduction or other feature which counteracts shaky hands.

5. Must not cost more than $150; closer to $100 would be better.

6. I am considering a Samsung S730. Anyone have any experience with this camera?

Also: How important is the number of megapixels? For the amateur photographer who takes primarily photos of family, vacation scenery, etc., what would be adequate and what would be overkill?

okay so i bought a new camera
and its more high tech than the one i had
and i use the same memory card as i did on the other one
and on my old one i can take about 300 pics
now on the new one it only takes like 5
can you tell me why?
is it just because its more high tech?

Im trying to figure out if my old pentax lenses would be compatible with a new pentax SLR (i'd probably get the k100d). the lenses are pretty old and the aperture is set on the lens. i could figure out if it is compatible if i knew the mount type (ex. k-mount, s-mount, kaf2-mount, 67/645).

I know nothing about cameras and just bought an SLR Canon Rebel Xti. I want a lens to take pics of small insects and another to take pics of the city skyline. How do I choose the right one? Should I get an IS lens?

It's a sony digital camera and the whole zoom feature is on the button too, so it's all glued down now. Any Suggestions? I was thinking about dabbing acitone on it and see if that will loosen it up but i'm scared that might fry it!

Some of the criteria I understand are:

1. MegaPixels
2. Optical/Digital Zoom

Please suggest more...

Which would you recommend at a standard price beteween100-200 dollars worth in a 35mm Film Photo Camera?

Either the Canon EOS Rebel 35mm Camera, Canon REBEL Gil 35mm SLR Camera, or the Olympus Infinity 80 QD 38-80mm 35mm Camera?

If none, which would you recommend and why?
