If you want prints, there's two ways to do it:

1) the easy way is to take it to a good photo store or a good drug/chain store that will send the slides out to be printed. Some stores have the capability to do it themselves, but I think that's pretty rare these days. Most drug stores with a photo counter should have a price list available that will include "prints from slides" and a cost. There may be some delay though, as they may have to send the slide out.

2) The second way: get a dedicated film scanner and scan the slides into you computer, then print them on a printer (like a good inkjet printer). Much harder to do properly and more expensive (a good scanner can cost hundreds or even thousands), plus you have to know how to work the software for a good scan. But very satisfying for personally important work.

If you need to find a retailer near you, try the higher end camera shops and photofinishers which you can find in the Yellow Pages phone book (try: Photography-retail and Photography-photofinishing). You can do Internet searches under the phrase "prints from slides". And make a few phone calls to you local photofinishers.

Buy a copy of any photography magazine and you should find several places that do this in the advertising section. You could also check your library for the magazines.

A quick yahoo! search found spartanphotocenter.com.
