Im trying to figure out if my old pentax lenses would be compatible with a new pentax SLR (i'd probably get the k100d). the lenses are pretty old and the aperture is set on the lens. i could figure out if it is compatible if i knew the mount type (ex. k-mount, s-mount, kaf2-mount, 67/645).

One of the big advantages of Pentax cameras is that they are compatible with the lineup of lenses going back to the old K-mount. The short answer is yes, your K-mount lens will work on the new digital SLR, but of course, it won't autofocus.

Yes it will if its a K-mount.

You might want to look at the latest Pentax, the K10D - 10 megapixels, IS in the body. You can read the review at shutterbug.com. It was in the Aug. 2007 issue.
