Sounds aren't playing on my computer. I got this message:

"MMSYSTEM326 No wave device that can play files in the current format is installed"


Ok, so I assume I need to install something to fix this, but what?

I'm knew to this but I want to figure it out so I can finish a dvd as a gift for someone.I have went threw all the editing but I am new to slideshows. Everytime I go to burn it, it tells me that it can't find the slideshow player and when I go to burn disk it tells me that I haven't selected anything and I'm not sure what it means exactly.
can anyone plz tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I need to get QT Pro so that i can stream music on my web site. I live in Hungary and it is not available here. If i got it in the UK would it work here? Dont know if this is a streaming problem or just a licensing issue.

Do you need a disk drive to install it? I'm asking because I bought a lot of 20 comp. without operating systems or disk drives. If so, then could I just buy one disk drive, install that on a computer, load the operating system, uninstall the disk drive, and repeat for the other 19? Thanks.

i was TYRING to burn a dvd, and my dvd shrink keeps failing in the middle...and then the dvd is no longer useable . I have gone thru 3 dvd that have failed on DVD shrink and it is starting to cost me money..any way i can erase the little bit that is on there?

I've got a discriptive entry in my excel spreadsheet that says:
Project management fees @ 7% of build cost

In the actual calc I use a separate cell (Cell F9 to be exact) that has the rate I want i.e. "7"

It's for ease of use so that if I want to change cell F9 to "10" then all the calcs change too...

The trouble is, is that doing that won't change the value of "7%" in the description line.

Is there any way of writing that line in such a way that the 7 updates with the value that's in cell F9?

I'm working on a contact management database. At some point I'm sure more then one person will try to access it at the same time. I don't fore see the need for two people to need to edit the same record at the same time, but multiple people might need to edit records that are stored in the same table at the same time.

Any suggestions? All answers are greatly appreciated!

I received many wonderful answers and they all dealt with using STROKE on each layer in regards to putting a border around a photo. However, what I am trying to achieve is... a thin/thick line with whatever color around a photo, but with the same background space between the line and photo. Using Stroke does not achieve this I think. Is there another detailed way of doing this? If Stroke is the answer, what do I do within Stroke to create this space between the line and photo? Thank you for your help.

Many times, I will transfer smaller photos onto one big 8x10 image. The one thing, I have yet to figure out is.... sometimes I like to put a thin black or colored line around each photo. I cannot figure out how to do this. How do you create the line or square; thickness and pick a color?

My desktop shut itself down yesterday night and I turned it back on and it did the same thing. So I kept it off over night and tried agian and now it comes on for about 5 seconds and turns back off. I cleaned it out and everything does anyone know what's wrong?
