When i tried to connect to the internet the game keeps giving me a connection failed warning at first o though it might be my firewall but then it says it needs my proxy server info and proxy server password, how the heck do i find out that info on this new operating system?

I have an office 2003 and I'm thinking whether to upgrade to SP 2 or SP3? Naturally, SP3 seems like the more logical choice but I've read forums where people have problems and rollback to SP2...

Being a novice, I think I may have learned a lesson the hard way. I used the windows washer to get rid of some spyware and I unknowingly deleted ALL my pictures and a great deal of my documents. I am absoultely heartbroken here because they were pictures of vacations with my grandkids and its over a years worth of photos. Can someone PLEASE tell me what to do?

I have broken and redone my computer a million of times simply coz the important stuff is backed up elsewhere....Here's the deal:
1. I was manually deleting suspicious .exe files in my C:/WINNT folder and its subfolders.
2. I disabled some services while trying to iron out a task manager bogging process.
3. Can't remember the number of services I disabled.
4. After a reboot, I am prompted for Username/Password Combo-instead of "loading my profile" I am returned to the same "username./password prompt. Doesn't work with the F8 submodes either just returns the same error.

(Just regular workgroup no networking)
5. Million $$$$$ Question:
What service is the culprit in this scenario
6. What's the way out of this? I don't happen to have a Windows 2K CD on me...

Everytime I want to open a folder My computer gives me a message saying " Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...". It gives me the option to send an error report debug or dont send. It seems like the more I open folders the more I get this message. I am running a Windows XP Professional. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Media Player is the basic internet video player.
Most websites use the 9 series to play their videos and even have a choice to use Flash Player if "Media Player doesn't
work".
I went and downloaded Media Player 9 and the latest but:

IT STILL WON'T LET ME WATCH THE VIDEOS ONLINE!

I can watch them with flash but every time I go on a website that ONLY uses Media Player it won't even load or play the video!

What am I doing wrong?

I have an old program (Jane's F/A 18 Combat Simulator) that i installed a while ago, but the install sequence screwed up and it didnt install correctly. now when i go to "add/ remove programs" in control panel, it says it cannot be uninstalled. i have also tried uninstalling using the disc, but it gives me the same error... any help is much appreciated.

My dads computer wont let him sign in to anything (eg. Yahoo, Google), and it's really annoying. It's a Windows XP, Internet Explorer 7. We've tried everything: turning the privacy settings off, disabling all protection on Mcaffee. But it wont work! It says something about cookies aswell.
