My computer Win XP pro doesn't reads Russian programs. My uncle had send me some program on Russian but I can’t understand what its saying because my computer only gives me (??????????) I can type in Russian, also I can run program but its all question marks or something else but not Russian.

Please Help

Our 5 year old Compaq has been running very slow lately. I tried to run Ad-aware to see if we had any spyware running, but it keeps encountering errors and can never complete the scan and delete issues. There are tons of sites out there with software for spyware and also to clean up your registry. Which is recommended and safe to use?

I have installed and uninstalled java1.6.0. version four times now and it still is not letting me go to yahoo game rooms. I turned off the pop-up blocker on my browser, but Java says it's still on. What am I doing wrong ? I recently changed from windows ME to Windows XP so I'm not as familiar with things on XP yet.....but I need my Java back. It worked great in ME, will some one PLEASE tell me what is wrong ?

Okay, so I'm making some vid right? I import the stuff, but when I edit it, it won't let me preview. Like, when I press play, it won't play. Or when I open a previous W.I.P. work, it won't let me preview.

I really need to get this project done, but apparently I can't get to preview the video. D:

Now I know that this question has been asked many a time before, but really, is it better? All of the other questions I have read on the subject always say that Vista isn't better, but they never give any good points about Vista besides it looks cool. Now I would like and equal argument pointing out good AND bad views about BOTH operating systems.
Now if it looking cool is really the only better thing about it, well, that's just it. I have heard though that Windows Vista is truly Windows XP with a new look.

Ok , so im trying to download aol 9.0 and everytime i try to do it its like at 78 % and says "sorry your computer lost internet connection when trying to download" or some bull. my internet is working FINE. im on it right now, i tryed restarting my computer and nothing works. HELP?!?

I've learned several things about Linux already, and I'm pretty sure it will fit my needs more than Windows or Mac. I'm not sure which Linux distribution is better for me though.

I am going to buy a new laptop, and I will either buy it stocked with Linux distribution, or buy one that isn't partitioned-for-windows. I don't really want to bother with trying out the distribution on CD, I just want to start.
I am taking C++ programming and am going to take Java very soon, I'm going to do lots of programming on the PC. However, unlike most of my classmates, I don't have a comprehensive understanding of the computer. I'd say the most advanced thing I've done is alter the pixels on a file from one of my games. So, I'm not a new user, I'm not a pro.

I'm very willing to pay money for the distribution one-time. I want lots of apps and support, for low-graphix-games, reports for school, internet, IM, and programming. I want reliable security support, and apps to get. Thank you for help.

I recently bought a new Dell system with XP installed. Recently, as I'm working, everything starts to go scrambled. The taskbar moves to the top of the screen, things get blanked out, everything's very slow, however, when I push the power button on the case, everything goes back to normal, but by then it's too late as everything starts to shut down. All of this is during very low-stress work like simple web browsing, e-mail, and the like. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just reinstalling Windows.

Right-o.
Ive done a horribly foolish thing and not saved my work for the last hour whilst using openoffice.org writer. And then it stopped functioning. With the recovery function all I got was what was saved anyway. Is there any chance at all of getting what I had before, or is it lost to eternity?

I have a documnet on MS Word that I want to print, but when I go to print it a message appears and states "The page borders of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page". There is a border around the document, so when I print it the border part on the bottom of the page is cut off. How do I set the page so that the whole border fits when printed?

or i have to entre user name and password in the first work sheet in order to acsses other work sheets ...

can it be done ?

or how do i use a user name and pass word to keep data safe mean only allowed poeple can chage data or view data
